Vlad eventually became his boss, instead. Nielar ran a shereba parlor, and was the only one of Vlad's employees to pay his cut promptly after Vlad's first week in operation. It was Nielar who first teamed Vlad with Kragar. Presumably, Nielar was a friend of Kiera the Thief, since she arranged with Nielar for Vlad's initial Employment. Later, Nielar was the first victim in Vlad's war with Laris as described in Yendi. He was unrevivifiable.
