  • Plasma Wire (プラズマワイヤー, Purazuma Uiyā) is Zero Suit Samus's up special move. She fires her whip above her which will inflicting many multi-hit attacks that send opponents upwards, finishing with a meteor smash move inside of the move's third hitbox. The move is good for poking through platforms and catching opponents in the air. It can lead to a follow up after the meteor smash albeit somewhat unreliably, since with good reaction it can be avoided and even punished. In the air, it can be used a Tether Recovery, grappling automatically to any ledge above her.
  • In Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U the Plasma Wire is replaced by the Boost Kick, a recovery move that makes use of Zero Suit Samus' new Jet Boots. This attack will also lengthen the distance of a jump or mid-air jump if used just after the jump is initiated. The Plasma Wire does not appear in any Metroid games, and was created for Brawl. : Non-canonical information ends here.
  • Plasma Wire is Zero Suit Samus' Up Special Move in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. She fires her whip upwards, pulling anyone above her downwards. In the air, it can be used as a Tether Recovery. It is one of the few recovery moves that don't induce helplessness, like Yoshi's Egg Throw.
