During times of trouble or danger, he is responsible for organizing the defense of the temple. He taught Daja Kisubo the staff-fighting meditation technique which Daja later teaches to Jorality Bancanor. Before he joined the temple, Skyfire was a famed general.
- SKYFIRE was originally an explorer during the Golden Age of Cybertron, but was lost in a blizzard over a prehistoric Earth, and was buried in the northern ice cap for eons. When awakened, he joined the Autobots out of a sense of responsibility and conscience, but he really would prefer to be a scientist, not a warrior. Although large and well-armed, Skyfire is far too laid-back and compassionate to enjoy combat. His allegiance to the cause is matched only by his devotion to scientific research.
- Onyx claimed she found her piece when it fell out of the sky, burning a hole through her mother's head, killing her. Onyx called it skyfire, and kept the piece that killed her mother in an amulet worn around her neck. Turtle found a large piece that crashed into the ocean when he was swimming with some of his brothers. A few smaller pieces had broken off, and he had a jeweler make a golden armband to place them in. In the beginning of Winter Turning, Moon told Turtle to give Winter one of the rocks, though he was doubtful.
- With a reckless daring that comes from being the swiftest of all the Autobots, Skyfire is the most eager of his comrades to plunge into battle. But his bravado is tempered by one overriding thought: he sincerely believes that victory over the Decepticons can only come through advancements in Autobot technology. As the first of a new generation of Autobots such a credo is perhaps only natural. Also, because he was created on Earth, Skyfire is one of the few Autobots who has no memory of his home planet. His allegiance to his cause is only matched by his devotion to scientific research.

As the first of a new generation of Autobots such a credo is perhaps only natural. Also, because he was created on Earth, Skyfire is one of the few Autobots who has no memory of his home planet. His allegiance to his cause is only matched by his devotion to scientific research. Skyfire along with Breakaway were the first two Transformers to be step in the Star Wars Universe by passing another dimension. Skyfire was injured by the powers of Darkness from Darth Grievous's Dark blast shots on his leg but survived. Skyfire was one of many jet transformers that were beaten up by an upgraded Starscream. During the battle of Korriban he was deeply injured by Darth Grievous's SIth Magic and was forced to head back for repairs at the Ark. At the end of the Transformers Wars Skyfire was hailed as a hero and was doing an air show above Coruscant with Powerglide and Tracks.

Although large and well-armed, Skyfire is far too laid-back and compassionate to enjoy combat. His allegiance to the cause is matched only by his devotion to scientific research. In his spacecraft mode he is one of the fastest and most manuverable of the Autobots, despite his large size. He can reach speeds of up to Mach 5 in atmosphere, and can easily reach orbit and beyond, where he can use his faster-than-light systems to travel the stars. In this mode he is armed with proton missiles and paired particle beams. In robot mode, his large size allows him to wield a double-barreled energy cannon, that operates by using two beams of opposite charges to create a tremendous explosion at their point of intersection. His major weakness is that he was never built to be a warrior; aside from his size and speed, his physical abilities, especially his fragile armor, are a liability in combat.

Turtle found a large piece that crashed into the ocean when he was swimming with some of his brothers. A few smaller pieces had broken off, and he had a jeweler make a golden armband to place them in. Near the end of Moon Rising, Moonwatcher asked Turtle to take some pieces of the skyfire off of his bracelet, and she then gave the rocks to Qibli and Kinkajou as a gift so that she couldn't read their minds, and so they could keep their thoughts private. In the beginning of Winter Turning, Moon told Turtle to give Winter one of the rocks, though he was doubtful. In the second part of Escaping Peril, Moon explains that part of the reason she told Peril about her powers was that there was no way to give her skyfire. In Talons of Power, Anemone and Turtle both cast spells on Kinkajou's skyfire; a spell to heal her injuries, a spell to protect her from Darkstalker, and a spell to make Kinkajou love Turtle as much as he loved her. At the end of Talons of Power, Turtle gives Anemone the fourth piece of skyfire on his armband. In Darkness of Dragons, Moon said she couldn't read minds when she had skyfire.
