With the former method the victim's chakra network can potentially receive irreversible harm, interrupting their ability to mold chakra at the very least and possibly disrupting their abilities permanently. The latter method results in a violent explosive force emanating from the victim's body at the point of unnatural concentration. Simple scratches can be expanded to gashing wounds, while a direct stab would could easily blow a hole through an opponent's chest or sever a limb. Due to the nature of this technique, Saname strikes can deal extreme amounts of physical harm with the slightest contact. Furthermore, the potential harm caused by this technique scales along with the quality of the opponent's chakra, in which an academy student would likely receive little harm compared to the critical injuries that would be inflicted on Kage-level shinobi. While this technique can be used with direct physical contact, Saname usually delivers her strikes through chakra flow enhanced weapons, allowing the move to also be delivered at range.
