  • Rankle ultimately unleashed this zombie army as a last-resort effort to stop Zim from returning GIR's movie rental, Intestines of War, to the Video Outhouse. Though they were sent out in large numbers, they were literally brainless, and did little more than shamble around, their feeble attempts to apprehend Zim hardly hindering him from reaching the video deposit slot. As far as appearances go, Rankle's zombies are not as gruesome as other zombies, but some have an eye missing.
  • The Curse of Unbelief is believed to be a spiritual as much as a physical contagion, hence its name, and the disease is held by the Ecclesiarchy to afflict only those lacking a pure faith in the Emperor. The disease is one of the multitudes of foul contagions spread by the Plague Fleets of Nurgle; most notably the warships of the Chaos Champion Typhus of the Death Guard Traitor Legion. Plague zombies act very much like the zombies in ancient films; they are mindless, shambling and cannibalistic. The main thing about plague zombies (and zombies in general) is that they are hard to kill and require an accurate shot to the head or complete dismemberment to put them down for good.
  • Zombies are an enemy group that appeared during the Halloween Event 2004, Halloween Event 2006, and Halloween Event 2007. They appear when players click on doors and get a "Trick".

Mordecai and Rigby have to fight and defeat all of the zombies while Zombocalypse is on and everyone is watching. Different zombies appear in "It's Time" when the Zombie Dinner Party trailer is showing.
  • Zombies are basic undead creatures. They are corpses animated by necromancy, and exist only to serve their masters. Zombies have no intelligence of their own, and never speak, except the occasional "brains".
  • Zombies, mostly referred to in-universe as walkers, roamers, lurkers, biters and infected, are an antagonistic force that serve as the primary catalyst for the events within The Walking Dead universe. They serve as universal antagonists.

In real terms no zombies have ever sent in a passport photo to Join Danny (I assume), only zombie-actors have, so all genuine zombies are classified as Non Joinees.

  • Zombie walks have taken place in cities from Toronto to Atlanta. All that is required for a zombie walk is a few people dressed and made up to look like living corpses. Usually they stumble around a city or another urban area. Looking at the success of the South Side walk in September, it shouldn’t be too surprising if Monroeville Mall is successfully inundated with the undead. “It could be 250, it could be 1000, I don’t know,” Menold said. “This is going to be all ages,” he said. In the South Side walk, no one under 21 could attend the event held at the Rex Theatre after the walk.

  • Initially, the reaction of most living people was to shoot and/or burn zombies on sight, but eventually a tense truce was reached between the two groups and zombies are now allowed to live a relatively normal existence. While the death toll attributed to zombies has been increasing in recent years, most consider it to be balanced out since those who are killed by zombies usually become zombies themselves, thus adding to the zombie workforce. Since zombies only require human brains to exist, food supplies and other resources are greatly preserved, and human brains are relatively easy to acquire by simply harvesting the young children of Third World countries, or other undesirables such as intellectuals, teachers , motor vehicle division clerks, and republicans.

  • Zombies are shambling horrors that are used extensively by the Vampire Counts and other Undead powers to be used as simple cannon fodder, staggering towards the enemy battle line in a slow yet noisome horde. Grotesquely reanimated corpses, they are compelled by the Dark Magic of a Vampire or Necromancer, and driven by the will of their master to commit acts of extreme violence. Zombies are a truly foul thing to behold, living corpses that is wroth with decay and unclean flesh. A Zombie's skin hangs in strips from his tattered frame, revealing withered muscle and bloodless veins. With the use of Dark Magic, these Zombies stagger towards the enemies with grasping arms and teeths.[1a]
  • "Zombie" is a name assumed for the sake of convenience rather than accuracy, because it is really a misnomer - the zombies of HotD are a step removed from the conventional image of ravenous, putrescent shamblers. While it is possible to reanimate human corpses with certain drug treatments, the vast majority of 'zombies' are actually artificially cloned biological weapons. Indeed, the DBR Corporation was originally licensed to research and manufacture zombies for military purposes - they were designed to be disposable fighters, cheaper and less controversial in that they prevented real soldiers dying on the battlefield. Zombies were given the outward appearance of decay to touch on mankind's primal fears and so increase their aura of horror and intimidation, and the images of entropy and ob
  • A zombie is a reanimated human corpse. The means by which one reanimates a corpse may vary, but traditionally it is accomplished through supernatural practices. Stories of zombies originated in the Afro-Caribbean spiritual belief system of Vodou, which told of the people being controlled as workers by a powerful sorcerer. According to the tenets of Vodou, a dead person can be revived by a bokor or Voodoo sorcerer. Zombies remain under the control of the bokor since they have no will of their own. "Zombi" is also another name of the Vodou snake god Damballah Wedo, of Niger-Congo origin; it is akin to the Kongo word nzambi, which means "god". There also exists within the voudon tradition the zombi astral which is a human soul that is captured by a bokor and used to enhance the bokor's power.

Chuck Norris and Bowser can't get turned into a zombie because they are just plain awesome and undefeatable. Also, Frank West became famous from killing lotsa Zombies. The easiest way of killing zombie is planting some plants in your backyard.
  • This theory states that the government has created either a chemical agent capable of turning someone into a zombie or that they created a disease capable of turning someone into a zombie. The theory doesn't actually mean the undead just someone who is in a kind of trance where they exhibit acts of violent behavior.
  • Zombies are undead creatures from the Wizard World that have appeared in some episodes. They are considered monsters, and they speak "zomb-ish". Alex explains in Get Along, Little Zombie that every wizard learns it when they are little, and she translates what Abercrombie, the Zombie said to Harper. Abercrombie thought, according to Alex, that her brains smelled "cute and tasty". They eat human brains. When he bit into Mr. Laritate, he turned him into a zombie and it is shown that they can control themselves and not eat everyone they see. Zombies were also in Wizards & Vampires Vs. Zombies , and it is shown that they can also speak English. They live in a graveyard and have ripped clothing. They were "invited" to a zombie prom that Max accidently sent to them, and came close to eating some

There also exists within the voudon tradition the zombi astral which is a human soul that is captured by a bokor and used to enhance the bokor's power. Some zombies may also be created through acts of science. The earliest known record of such an incident took place in Europe in the early 19th century when a Swiss scientist named Baron von Frankenstein animated a dead body which had been constructed from the remains of several cadavers. This being, whom still exists today, has since become known as the Spawn of Frankenstein. Regardless of origin, most zombies share many common characteristics. They are fairly easy to recognize due to their unhealthy physical state, and become even more so depending upon varying rates of decay. Due to muscular atrophy, zombies can not ambulate very well, and are often seen shambling or plodding at a stilted pace. They are often bereft of intellect which makes them extremely susceptible to mystical or mental suggestion. As such, evil sorcerers commonly use zombies as their personal servants or bodyguards. The Voodoo houngan known as Papa Midnite is well-versed in the art of reanimation, owing largely to the knowledge he acquired from his sister Cedella, herself a Vodun priestess. Papa-Midnite had a bevy of zombie servants at his disposal at his New York based Mid-Nite Club and also hosted zombie fighting contests inside the club's private "Arena". One of the most well-known examples of a zombie is the super-villain known as [[W:C:DC:Cyrus Gold

  • * Immortality: Providing that their bodies do not come to any undue harm, a zombie is effectively immortal. Their bodies will not degrade beyond the state in which they were initially resurrected. * Superhuman Strength: Zombies traditionally possess a greater strength level than the average human being. This is likely due to their denser muscle mass and the fact that they do not suffer other effects that usually accompany physical exertion.

  • Die Zombies kamen durch das Zombietor in den USA, Ohio als erste fremde Rasse auf diese Welt. Neue Zombies entstehen ständig durch von Zombies infizierten Menschen oder Orks.
  • Their only purpose is to find, infect, and devour humans. They were previously human beings who were infected with the parasitic larvae of an unknown experimental wasp. Zombies are rather fragile and easier to kill than uninfected humans. When bitten by a zombie it takes on average around 24 hours to become one, though it varies greatly from person to person, and can sometimes depend on where the person is bit (for example, a person bit in the neck will transform within seconds and this is shown in Dead Rising 2, while an arm bite may take longer). However, if a person is bitten by more than one zombie multiple times, then this may quicken the process. The only exceptions are perhaps Frank West and Chuck Greene, who both sustains many bites from zombies over the course of the game and never become a zombie, and Nick Ramos, who is immune to the infection. This is meant for gameplay purposes, but Isabela notes that Frank does have a high resistance to the infection. Gretchen Peregrine explained that a bite needs to be somewhat deep to infect a person.
  • The Zombies are recurring enemies in Metal Slug 3 and Metal Slug 4.
  • Ghoulia Yelps and her sister Moanica Yelps are the zombies in Monster High and Ghoulia Yelps's boyfriend, Sloman "Slo Mo" Mortavitch and Neighthan Rot, on his father's side.
  • Zombies are pretty much your only allies in this game. Whenever Stubbs kills anybody by eating their brains, hitting them to death, or by a gut grenade, the person that was killed will reanimate as a zombie. Zombies will frantically attack any living person they see and are not that smart, which is shown when they completely ignored the landmines in front of the soldiers later in the game, and subsequently blew themselves up. They will always rush straight at the people even if they are out-manned and out-gunned. They are somewhat tough however, since a single zombie can take on two and maybe 3 armed police officers and win, but they will often get mowed down by the more powerful and more damaging enemies later in the game. Stubbs can get zombies to follow him by whistling if the zombies can't see anyone within their sight range, and as soon as they see a living person they will immediately rush the person. The zombie's greatest strength is in numbers, as large hordes will literally tear through most resistance with ease. An easy way to get large hordes would be to eat one person, let him reanimate, eat another person while he eats someone else, and keep repeating until you have amassed a sizeable horde. Sometimes when you are low on health it is smart to let the zombies go ahead of you and eat and infect the people for you. Zombies are capable of eating people's brains when they are stunned from a flatulence blast or when they are weak and can also just hit and claw people to death, both of which will also infect and reanimate the victim. Note, if people don't die from the direct actions of a zombie, for example, getting shot from a person possessed by your hand, friendly fire from their allies, or getting hit with a vehicle or from the gun of a vehicle, they will NOT reanimate and become zombies, so choose carefully when possessing people or in the turret of a vehicle, it is usually best to kill or at least weaken the ones with powerful weapons, and to leave weak targets like civilians and police officers alive so they can be transformed into zombies. Note, when armed people like police officers and riot cops reanimate, they drop their weapons and will not use them, not even the ones wielding axes and baseball bats.
  • Zombies are "The Living Dead" zombification amongst stories occurs from the initial bite from another zombie because the bite transfers the virus in them onto you, once bit theres no going back within the week you will turn. And despite popular belief they dont actually eat their targets the bite is simply to transfer the virus although the common outlook on zombies now are they crave flesh which in my opinion is ok too :).

Zombies must use teamwork and organized attacks if attempting to defeat the human team, as the humans will usually always defeat zombies who are not properly preparing attacks. For guidance on effectively playing as a zombie, see Playing as the Undead. Carriers, or as often called by the community, the "Whitey" are a special form of zombie that has 250 Health points (50 More than that of a normal zombie, which allows them to survive a headshot with a magnum, but only leaves them with 10 HP), moves slightly faster than regular zombies, has the ability to use a Carrier Roar that will show the infected team where they are with an orange outline around their model, and cause all of the infected team to spawn at the closest possible position to them, and has a 10% chance of infecting a survivor upon hitting them. An infected survivor will appear in a hue of sickly green to zombie players and their name will be green on the scoreboard. Infecting survivors helps the zombie team immensly by having a human suddenly changing into a zombie due to infection, creating chaos behind survivor lines. That zombie can either attempt to kill the human team directly or open barricades to let the rest of the zombies in. It takes approximately a minute for a survivor to turn into a zombie from the moment of infection. A survivor will know that they are infected when their health icon on their HUD turns into a biohazard mark, and one will begin to hear their character breathe heavily, as well as the character's heartbeat becoming audible. Once a survivor reaches this stage of infection, the survivor may not use voice chat, text chat, or voice commands to indicate to their team that they are infected. Infected survivors in this stage may also not make use of their flashlight, or pick up additional ammo or weapons. During this period, a survivor can kill an infected survivor before they turn into a zombie. Moments before one turns into a zombie, the characters' hearing will become deafened, and they will then drop all of their ammo and weapons, and turn into a zombie, in which one is free to attack the people who were their comerades moments ago. Many players often keep signals for each other incase they are infected, such as flickering their flashlight or picking up and dropping ammo. If they cease to do this action shortly, the other teammate will presume that they are infected. Another way to tell is that survivors will keep hitting the survivor in question with a melee weapon, so they have little to no chance of doing harm. One way some people use is when they become infected and unable to communicate, they will simply flail thier mouse around aimlessly and shoot their weapons to attempt to indicate they are infected. The carrier zombie has several quotes when using the Carrier Roar ability or lunging, such as: * "I feeeell them..." * "I sense thier presenceeeee..." * "Find themmmm..." * "Rain death upon them..." * "Join usssss..." * "Your grave awaitssss..." Regular zombies have 200 HP and move slightly slower than the carrier, and roughly at 80% speed of a non-fatigued survivor carrying defaut equioment. When a player is a zombie, they will look the same as their selected Survivor model, but in zombified form. Regular zombies are the grunts of the zombie army, and have strength in surprise and numbers, especially the latter of the two. The easiest way to overtake a survivor team is to rush them with as many zombies as possible. When attempting to use the taunt key (Z by default) or the use key (E by default) to use an object as a zombie, the zombie will simply make a grunting noise.
Zombies are excellent household pets, as they will eat the brains of any intruders. This puts them in high demand, but, due to the fact there aren't many zombies around, they are becoming increasingly expensive, giving new meaning to the term 'costing an arm and a leg'. Zombies enjoy urban environments, but they don't mind rural locations either. They are incredibly intelligent, although they don't like to talk much. Some of the amazing discoveries found by undead scientists include: * The cure for Folk Music * The secret of the photocopier * Dinosaur resurrection * Cyanide * The exquisite taste of brains * Krokodil, the curse of Russia Zombie's are the least friendly creatures in the world, next to kittens. if you meet a zombie, give him or her a big big chunk of C4! If they don't blow up shoot them with a shotgun, laugh, and take a shower. In the unlikely event you stumble upon a zombie AND a kitten, just pull out your machete, get nice and close to the zombie, and slice that fucker's head off. As for the kitten, no human will stand a chance unless they find a way to remove the creature's soul from its body (see kitten huffing for instructions). Zombies are also notorious ragequitters, who google the home of whoever they played online and EAT THEIR FUCKING BRAINS! Ahem, sorry...
  • The legend of Zombies originated through the West African belief system of voodoo and has a storied history in Haiti. According to voodoo beliefs, a sorcerer, or bokor, could bring a person back from the dead and control their actions through supernatural powers. Many people consider this ancient practice a myth.

  • This theory states that the government has created either a chemical agent capable of turning someone into a zombie or that they created a disease capable of turning someone into a zombie. The theory doesn't actually mean the undead just someone who is in a kind of trance where they exhibit acts of violent behavior. The theory took off after a video was posted on the internet back in 2012 showing a 31 year old Rudy Eugene attacking 65 year old Ronald Edward Poppo. The video featured Eugene attacking Poppo and gouging out his eyes. Eugene then began to strangle him into unconsciousness and then Eugene began to eat his face.

  • Zombies are a mutated form of Humans or even Anybody. Zombies are so evil, they munch on your arms and turn you into one. There is lots of zombies in Raccoon City and in Call of Ducky: Black Ops. Chuck Norris and Bowser can't get turned into a zombie because they are just plain awesome and undefeatable. Also, Frank West became famous from killing lotsa Zombies. Zombies can get killed really easily, by using a Shotgun, Magnum or a Pie. People can throw things at zombies, and they just die. Chuck Norris is a trained zombie ahnillator, with his BFG armed and ready to deploy several bombs, and now zombies die from looking at him cause the zombies are so scared of him. The Zombies in the pic aren't really Zombies because they are not green and they are naked (Not like in da nude naked, I mean like no skin), and don't forget that they don't look like green, blood splattered humans. Real Zombies look unique compared to others. The easiest way of killing zombie is planting some plants in your backyard.
With the use of Dark Magic, these Zombies stagger towards the enemies with grasping arms and teeths.[1a] Yet Zombies are often made from more than corpses, for when the Vampire Counts are on the warpath, their Necromancers are often forced to improvise in order to amass a truly unstoppable horde. Spiked and rusting railings from graveyard fences are substituted for missing limbs; broken backs are buttressed by mouldering planks or hammered into a semblance of solidity with rusted coffin nails. Fingers hacked off by wild sword thrusts are replaced with jagged spikes and Elven arrowheads. Any debilitating wound they suffer is compensated for with stomach-churning expediency, for all that a Zombie's masters require of it is to stumble into battle.[1a] For all their horrific appearance, Zombies are slow and clumsy, making it easy for local militia and adventuring warbands to destroy individuals or even to bring down small groups without any casualties. Unfortunately, the Old World boasts a rich supply of corpses, and thus Zombies can be raised and set loose upon the living in overwhelming numbers.[1a] These sickening Undead have no skill to speak of, but are instead driven only by the insatiable urge to rend, kill and consume the living. Any warrior unfortunate enough to be pulled down by a Zombie horde will find himself torn slowly apart by a mass of desperate clawing fingers, his flesh gouged from his body in grisly, glistening chunks. The fortunate die quickly, but those unlucky souls who are trampled beneath the horde spend their death throes in miserable agony as their innards become a crimson feast.[1a] Soldiers who have met in battle with the Undead before, or who hear the terrifying tales whispered at campfires, know the best methods with which to slay the restless dead. A blow to the skull with a hammer or axe will slay usually a Zombie outright, and severing the head is an even surer method of destruction. But precise strikes such as these take focus and skill, and Zombies are seldom found in ones or twos. Instead, these death-walkers are raised in large numbers, gathering upon the battlefield in their hundreds. Against hordes such as these, even the strongest sword arms tire, the stoutest hearts can falter, and the most skilled blades can become lodged in putrid flesh. Even those of surpassing skill will eventually feel the clammy touch of dead hands upon their skin.[1a] Zombies are easily sustained by the powers of necromancy, jerking back to their feet like jangling puppets as invisible force swirls around them. Their numbers can seem almost infinite as they press relentlessly forwards, those that fall in battle compelled by necromantic power to stagger or crawl towards the foe moments after being cut down. Such shuffling hordes are often used by Vampires to exhaust the regiments of their enemies, slowly overwhelming the foe in a ceaseless tide of blood-slicked, maggot-ridden flesh.[1a]
  • In many sci-fi Zombie stories, there's a Zombie Apocalypse in which a viral outbreak causes everyone to become infected and to beging turning into a Zombie. In many cases this leads to the end of Human civilization, with only a few survivors living in the now Zombie-infested world.
One of the most well-known examples of a zombie is the super-villain known as Solomon Grundy. In 1895, Cyrus Gold had carried on an affair with a local prostitute from Gotham City named Rachel Rykel. According to Rykel, she was pregnant with Gold's child, and sought to extort money from him for her silence. Cyrus met with her for a secret negotiation at Slaughter Swamp, several miles outside of Gotham. When Gold refused to yield to blackmail, Rachel's pimp, Jem, dashed Cyrus across the back of the head with a shovel. They buried Gold in the swamp, content that no one would ever come looking for him. Over the span of fifty years, Gold’s body interacted with the detritus and sour vegetation of the swamp. Through an as of yet unknown process, Cyrus Gold's corpse transformed into a rotting, vegetative undead monstrosity that the world would soon come to know as Solomon Grundy. One of the more bizarre examples of a zombie was the Green Lantern Corps member known as Driq. Driq was killed during a battle against Sinestro and the MadGod Sector 3600. For reasons that have never been fully explained, his power ring refused to let his life essence permanently leave his body, so it drew Driq's remains together and he continued to serve, however briefly, as a reanimated member of the Green Lantern Corps. The sorcerer Mordru created the Sons of Anubis, zombies garbed in the mien and accouterments of the Egyptian God of the afterlife. He sent these beings to attack the Justice Society of America in the hopes of preventing them from saving the life of a then-infant Hector Hall - the predestined host for the power of Doctor Fate. It is not uncommon for fallen heroes to find themselves resurrected by unorthodox means and used as muscle for some evil-doer's plan. During the "War of the Gods", the sorceress Circe used her magic to resurrect a veritable legion of deceased heroes and set them against those who sought to thwart her plans. Another such incident took place several years later. The most recent being to uphold the mantle of Brother Blood used the powers at his disposal to open the doorway to the afterworld and resurrect the bodies of deceased members of the Teen Titans including Aquagirl, Dove, Lilith Clay and Phantasm. A year after the "Infinite Crisis", Black Adam gathered the remains of his dead wife Isis and brought them to the Tower of Fate in Salem, Massachusetts in the hopes of resurrecting her. Due to the machinations of sorcerer Felix Faust, the process did not produce the results that Black Adam was looking for. More recently, an unknown force in Sector 666 has used the corpse of the Anti-Monitor to form a Black Central Power Battery, the power source for the Black Lantern Corps, an army which is to be composed of zombies.

They were "invited" to a zombie prom that Max accidently sent to them, and came close to eating some of the students. They said they were in a music video, possibly Thriller. They were challenged to a dance off, by the zombie prom students. They lost, including losing some of their body parts.

Joinee zombies include Joinee Jen, Silver Joinee Heulwen and Silver Joinee Knight. 'Non Joinee Zombies' appear as a card in Join Me Top Trumps.

“There’s no such thing as a lame zombie walk,” Menold said. “As long as it’s more than one guy it’s okay. Because that’s really what they are: It’s just a few nuts who will show up somewhere unannounced and freak people out.”

Zombies were given the outward appearance of decay to touch on mankind's primal fears and so increase their aura of horror and intimidation, and the images of entropy and oblivion also suited Dr. Curien's own nihilistic worldview. Consequently, 'zombies' can have strength, stamina, and agility far in excess of the stereotype of wasted cadavers that you can outpace at a light stroll. They can sprint, wield weapons and heft and throw objects of weight without worrying about spindly bones snapping. There are also multiple types and classes of zombie, adopting forms widely divergent from the human norm, from bulging and sinewy hulking brutes to scampering gymnastic pygmies, mutant demon-like dogs and swollen, pulsing maggots. Still, they haven't departed entirely from tradition - a shot to the head will put down one of Curien's children just as readily as it would an extra from Night of the Living Dead. One small advantage of fighting a Curien zombie is that it has been specifically built as such, rather than warped from something else. There is no communicable body-mutating 'T-Virus' analogue in House of the Dead; being injured or bitten by a zombie will not result in the victim transforming into one.
