| abstract | - Mole Patrol is the fourth stage in Cave. It is the second rocket barrel stage in the world and contains many Mole Guards. Eventually Donkey and Diddy Kong will reach a mine cart track, in which the Mole Train will be riding on. Throughout the course of the stage, it will send mole guards attached to balloons out. These mole menaces will try to chop you with their pickaxes but you can pop their balloons by flying through them.
- The level begins with the Kongs landing on a floor with a strange brown plant that has strange brown bubbles coming from it. The plant can be pounded on for a collectible. There is also an opening behind the apes that leads straight into a Bonus Room. Past the strange brown plant is a gap. In the gap is the Rocket Barrel. The Kongs should jump into it and activate it (tap the 2 button on the Wii Remote) to get it going. The first thing the apes will pass after the Rocket Barrel is activated is a trail of five Bananas. There are also some tall stalagmites beneath the trail of Bananas the apes will pass that can take out the apes in one hit. The Kongs will then pass a Mole Miner using its pickax on the ground, however, it goes away when the apes near it. The Kongs will then come up to a large stalactite they must dodge with a trail of three Bananas under it. After the apes pass this, they will soon have to dodge a large, thick stalagmite with a Mole Miner on it and a trail of three Bananas above it. Like the previous Mole Miner, this Mole Miner goes away when the Kongs near it. After passing this stalagmite, the apes begin to travel over water. The apes will come up a Mole Miner on a wire near a large stalactite, and a slightly curved trail of Bananas beneath the stalactite. The Mole Miner hides when the apes near it. The trail of Bananas can help the apes travel over some stalagmites in the water, as well as let them collect the letter K of the K-O-N-G Letters. If the Kongs have collected everything in the trail of Bananas, a Puzzle Piece appears for them to collect. The apes then will come up to a Mole Miner on a large group of rocks. This enemy swings its pickax constantly, unlike the previous three. After the apes pass the Mole Miner, they will stop traveling over water and will travel over cave ground, again. The primates will approach a large stalactite on the ceiling, which they must dodge. The stalactite has an Extra Life Balloon under it. After the Kongs pass this stalactite, they will come up to a Mole Miner on a small stalagmite, which swings its pickax constantly at the apes. After the apes pass this Mole Miner, another Mole Miner appears on a wire above the Kongs and swings its pickax at the apes. There is a trail of three Bananas directly after this Mole Miner. Now, the apes come up to an area where four Mole Miners swing their pickaxes constantly at them while standing on tall stalagmites. After the apes pass this area, they will come up to a Banana Bunch in midair, and just before the Banana Bunch, a train comes out of a wall in the background, and heads in front of the Kongs. The Kongs will approach another Banana Bunch near a stalactite in the air. There are is a trail of three Bananas below the apes right after this, and a Mole Miner appears on a balloon and swings its pickax at the apes. Shortly after this, the apes come up to a large stalagmite which they must dodge. A Banana Bunch is above the stalagmite. Shortly after the apes pass this stalagmite, they come up to a Mole Miner who cuts a large crystal with its pickax, causing the crystal to fall. The apes must then dodge three more large crystals broken by Mole Miners. Just before the apes pass this area, a Mole Miner appears on a balloon and swings its pickax at the Kongs. The Kongs begin to travel over water again at this point, and another Mole Miner appears on a balloon, swinging its pickax at the primates. The apes must dodge/defeat (pop their balloon by riding into it) these two Mole Miners. Shortly after this, the heroes come up to a stalactite with a stalagmite below it, which the Kongs must go through. There is a trail of three Bananas between the stalactite and the stalagmite. After this, the apes can use a trail of Bananas to avoid a series of stalagmites, ranging from short to tall sizes. In one point between two tall stalagmites with some smaller ones between the apes come up to the letter O. After the apes pass the letter O's area, they can pass two tall stalagmites and collect a curved slope of four Bananas right before they pass the Tutorial Pig hosting the checkpoint on a floor. After the checkpoint, the apes travel over water again. There is a trail of Bananas the Kongs can collect for a Puzzle Piece. Directly after this, a Mole Miner on a balloon appears and swings its pickax at the apes. They will then have to pass a second Mole Miner on a balloon who swings its pickax at the heroes, just after the first Mole Miner. Shortly after the second Mole Miner, the apes must go through another stalactite with a stalagmite below it. Like the previous, a trail of three Bananas is between the stalactite and the stalagmite. The train goes over a loop, and another Mole Miner appears on a balloon, swinging its pickax at the Kongs. The train goes over another loop and makes another Mole Miner appear on a balloon, who swings its pickax at the apes. The train goes over two more loops, causing two more Mole Miners to appear on balloons, who swing their pickaxes at the apes. The train then goes over two more loops and heads straight into a rock wall, creating a tunnel with its drill. Right before the train destroys the rock wall with its drill, the apes will pass the letter N between the train's track and a large stalagmite in the water. After this, the Kongs can follow the train through the tunnel it is creating. The path goes up, so the Kongs must go up to avoid crashing. The path then goes down a little and back up. The path then goes down again and takes the Kongs back outside the tunnel. The train crashes onto the ground and is destroyed right before a group of four large crystals, some spaced out from one another, which the apes must dodge (they fall on their own and land on the ground). Between the second and third crystal is the letter G in the air. After the fourth crystal, it appears that there are more large crystals beside it. The apes must dodge three more large crystals. After the apes pass the last crystal, the Rocket Barrel loses its power and crashes onto a large floor with the Slot Machine Barrel above it. There is also a strange brown plant that can be pounded on for a Puzzle Piece, right at the very end of the floor. When the Slot Machine Barrel is hit, the level is complete.
