- Burning a cold blue, the Inferno Blade lacks the reputation of the Amaterasu but makes up for it in being able to accomplish all that the Amaterasu should have been able to do. The Inferno Blade is made up of such concentrated flames that it can incinerate the human body in only a few seconds while the heat streaming off of the orb of flames can easily ignite everything around it and scorch the area. Water has very little effect against the Inferno Blade, merely boiling or evaporating depending on proximity. Being a melee-type technique however makes the Inferno Blade easier to dodge physically even if the raw power of the technique makes combatting it far more complicated.

Anything ignited by the Inferno Blade remains nearly inextinguishable unless the blue fires are entirely deprived of oxygen. With only the minimum amount of oxygen to consume the blue fires can continue burning for three days straight. The only known weakness of the Inferno Blade is techniques of the Ice Release nature but only in such cases where the freezing is instant, if it is progressive then the Inferno Blade simply melts the forming ice as it closes in. The power of the technique makes it both deadly to its enemies and its users as such, the user must don something capable of lessening the fire's effects. In the case of Tenka Nihisaki she often utilizes the Eight-Tails Chakra Mode in order to protect herself from the majority of the Inferno Blade's power though not all of it. The technique is used in much the same way as the Flame Blade however the explosion is far more powerful and has been known to wipe out everything within its vicinity. The aftermath of the technique is also much more lethal as the blue flames will ignite and latch onto anything at the edges of the explosion allowing it to spread. When manipulated for alternative uses the Inferno Blade's power becomes a source of the Inferno Release advanced nature.
