  • French Guiana is a small, meaningless country on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean in South America. French Guiana is below the equator- so you should not care about this country, nor have learned anything about it in grade school. French Guiana started out (and still is to this day) as a Penal Colony where France's most vile Homosexuals and Sodomites were incarcerated. Due to French Guiana's proximity to the sun, Prisoners were forced to to endure their sentences in a hot, humid climate where the only activities available to them were gang raping, sodomy, and prison sanctioned fashion shows.
  • The French settled the area beginning in the 17th century. It became an overseas department of France in 1946. While an independence movement gained some momentum in the 1970s, interest has fallen off considerably, leaving French Guiana the last remaining European colony on the American mainland. In popular culture, French Guiana is best known for L'Ile du Diable (Devil's Island) just off its coast, which has housed notable high profile prisoners for much of history, the most famous inmate being Alfred Dreyfus.

  • French Guiana is the the southernmost country in Europe. Home to the Devil's Island prison, it is notable for its three main exports: bananas and parolees, and spacejunk. French Guiana is well-known for being a place nobody's heard of, not even by the people who live there. Not even the French care about it, and for most of their history they have long forgotten it exists. In that respect, it's kind of like the French version of Alaska, only better because of a lack of Sarah Palin.
  • Also known as Guyane or Guyane Française, French Guiana is located on the Caribbean coast of South America, in an area known as the Guiana highlands. French Guiana has so far withheld being annexed by neighboring Amazonia, perhaps due to France because it's an oversea French department (district) or Saeder-Krupp influence.
