Často se také zapomíná a své představy dává najevo mácháním rukama a nadšenými výkřiky. Orihimino myšlení je dost složité a na ostatní může působit dosti zvláštním dojmem. Jednou se například zeptala Rukie, zda se jí líbí Ichigo. Rukia odpověděla, že ne a Orihime byla zklamaná, protože pokud by řekla ano, byly by dvě proti Ichigovi a měly by tak přesilu. Rangiku jí vysvětlila, že ona i Rukia jsou velmi důležité v Ichigově životě a že se nemusí bát, že by se o Orihime nezajímal. Orihime měla velmi složité dětství. Je dcerou prostitutky a alkoholika a měla o 15 let staršího bratra. Ten spolu s malou Orihime od rodičů utekl a staral se o ni sám. Musel chodit do práce, aby ji uživil a často nebyl doma. Orihime se však něj vždy těšila. Když měl Sora, jak se její bratr jmenoval, 18 let a Orihime 3, daroval jí sponky do vlasů. Ona je však odmítala nosit, protože si myslela, že jsou příliš dětské. Později však zjistilo, že tato technika není jen léčící, ona doslovně vrací čas, jakoby Orihime odmítala to, co se stalo a vrací to do původního tvaru. Takto dokázala znovu Grimmjowovi navrátit ruku, o kterou přišel a vrátit zdánlivě mrtvou Menoly (tvrdí, že nemůže vrátit mrtvého, ale koukni se, co zbylo z Menoly, když ji Grimm zmasakroval. To určitě nemohla přežít).
