  • Preparing your system is simple, and only requires obtaining a single computer. However, since it is your system, you need to make yourself comfortable by both having good performance and workspace. First off, you need to find the most comfortable spot in your entire workspace. Next, fill this spot full of comfortable, or stimulating things. Do not make this place too crowded, or hot, and make sure it has plenty of air. Try to get a desk and keyboard setup that is ergonomic. The exact components available will vary depending on what is available and what is needed.
  • Tatiana Hughes, codename Setup, is a villain specializing in framing people for crimes. She's a mimic, able to impersonate another person's fingerprints or other biometrics, though it's not clear if she can thoroughly change her appearance; she's also a Regen-5 and exemplar-2, and is a contact-only Telepath. A friend, Cyberbeast, is often the contact through which she is offered jobs. She has a conscience about her work; she will not frame for murder, child porn, or human trafficking. She was once tricked into a frameup for murder; she took her revenge out on the person who set up the job. She's also done some freelance work for the CIA, MI6, Mossad, and other spy agencies, and has called in favors in the past to help establish a new identity when needed.
  • Before playing, set up the game as follows: 1. * Gather Forces: The players reveal their squads and gather all of the ships, cards, and other components necessary for their squads. Each ship in the squad must have the correct plastic ship, ship token, maneuver dial, Ship card, and any cards chosen, as well as ID tokens if necessary. 2. * Determine Initiative: The player with the lowest squad point total chooses which player has initiative. If players are tied, the players randomly determine which player chooses who has initiative. 3. * Establish Play Area: Establish a 3' x 3' (0.9144 m) play area (or alternative size) on a flat surface such as a table or playmat. 4. * Place Obstacles: Starting with the player with initiative, each player chooses one token from the obstacl

The players place a total of six obstacle tokens. Obstacles cannot be placed at Range 1 of each other, or at Range 1–2 of an edge of the play area. After the sixth obstacle is placed, the player who does not have initiative chooses an edge of the play area to be his own; his opponent’s edge is the opposite side of the play area. 5. * Place Forces: The players place their ships into the play area in order from lowest pilot skill to highest pilot skill. If multiple ships tie in pilot skill, the player with initiative places his ships with that pilot skill first. Ships must be placed within Range 1 of their player’s edge. 6. * Activate Shields: Place a number of shield tokens on each Ship card equal to that card’s shield value. 7. * Prepare Other Components: Shuffle the Damage deck and place it facedown outside the play area within reach of both players along with the maneuver templates, dice, range ruler, and the remaining tokens.

Next, fill this spot full of comfortable, or stimulating things. Do not make this place too crowded, or hot, and make sure it has plenty of air. Try to get a desk and keyboard setup that is ergonomic. It is strongly recommended to obtain a personal server that you have physical access to. While you can purchase any system from the store, you should build one from separate components. However, purchasing an actual server will have the work done for you, but should only be done to get a system running with less setup time. If you choose to make your own system or use a light-weight server, try to make sure it has enough storage or power for your needs. While there isn't as much need for CPU power on a personal server, you may need to have more RAM or hard-drive space than normal. In general, you should take a look at the following as a guidelines for a configuration: Your server doesn't need to be high-end unless you have at usable by other people. If you are simply trying to practice on your own system, the economy system will work without problem; properly designed software should not have exorbitant system requirements. However, complex work may require a stronger system. If possible, you should select a multi-core system to prevent a single process from paralyze a system by taking 100% CPU. The exact components available will vary depending on what is available and what is needed. Your desktop computer is your main system. You will do most of your work here, and will want it to be both powerful and comfortable. If you want to purchase a notebook computer, the only requirement is finding one with a wireless network card. If you want a high-performance system, you should use a desktop intead. If needed, you can check Hardware lists to determine if a notebook has a certain feature set available; otherwise, there is no significant worry from choosing notebooks, since they are designed for be portable rather than performing. Once you have your hardware ready, you will need to install the software. You have a few choices depending on the system you built or purchased: * Microsoft Windows * Linux or other Unicies * Macintosh

She learned martial arts from Lillian Dennon when she was running a private self-defense school, before she started teaching at Whateley. She's thirty-six as of June 2007, so probably from the Whateley class of 1989, plus or minus a year. Her daughter, Martina, is going to Whateley in fall 2007.
