- The Eta-2 had no built-in hyperdrive and so required a hyperdrive ring for hyperspace travel. It had no missiles or rockets, no clock radio, and no glove compartment. It had two laser cannons, two ion cannons, some solar panels on its wingtips (like bonsai-sized TIE fighter wings), and a flimsy cockpit with a plastic canopy. If the pilot accidentally bonked his head on the cockpit, it would often cause instant decompression. For some reason, it could carry an astromech droid, but since the bloody thing wasn't hyperspace-capable, what was the effing point?

It was even faster than the A-wing... of course, it could be destroyed by a micrometeroid impact, but nevertheless, the speed was there. Another feature of the Eta-2 was that it was small enough to use as a personal transport on the golf course and in grocery store shopping aisles. Anakin Skywalker flew a personalized Eta-2 in the Clone Wars. Other Jedi stupid enough to fly them included Obi-Wan Kenobi, Saesee Tiin and Mace Windu.
