  • History of location is unknown.
  • The Netherworld is one of the planes that comprise the Tetraverse. Like the Astral Plane, the Netherworld is a plane of the mind - notably, emotions and ideas. However, these concepts are often twisted into negativity, making the plane and its inhabitants naturally evil.
  • The Netherworld is also known as AlterNAP by those who travel there at least more then once. It is an alternative dimension where although several people from NAP exist there, they are vastly different to those in NAP.
  • Information on the world is limited, but it is known that the Sanzu River is located here. The river is a toxic plane composed of the tears of humans. The water level rises any time a human is in some sort of distress; Master Xandred exploits this fact to raise the river level using his Nighlock Army. He plans to flood the Earth with the evil water of the Sanzu, giving him an avenue of escape.
  • The Netherworld is the dark and lifeless domain of Queen Odette, it is the home of all souls that comitted crimes during their mortal lives. The Netherworld is the first circle in the upper left corner on the map to the right while Winterhorn Ridge is just below it. The Volkenon Lava Pits are located in the circle in the lower right corner.
  • Snow White travels here when under the poisoned apple's influence, and, when she is woken up by true love's kiss, her nightmares continue and every time she sleeps she is transported to a burning, red room. When he sees her stirring, Charming wakes her up and lights and candle for her. ("Tallahassee")

  • "Netherworld" was the eighth episode of The Dead Zone, airing on USA Network on 4 August 2002.
  • Netherworld (known as Heaven) was the place the souls of force-sensitives and all good sentient beings. Qui-Gon Jinn went to this realm after dying, reuniting with Tahl and his friends in the Netherworld. Anakin Skywalker learned this from Obi-Wan Kenobi after he saw his deceased wife before dying upon the Second Death Star. There, they are reunited, and spend their love forever.
  • The Netherworld is another realm from the Underworld. Pinface's family moved there when Pinface's dad got a job there. The Netherworld also has a mall where Grim and Pinface's younger sister used to hang out. es:Mundo Profundo
  • The Netherworld is a place that exists somewhere between the Strange World universe and our own as well as all other universes and timelines. It seemingly serves as a Nexus point between all realities. Hercules was able to trap the Sovereign there for a time (HTLJ "Stranger in a Strange World") until Ares and Callisto released him only to trap both he and Hercules there again (HTLJ "Armageddon Now").

  • The Netherworld has been the unseen place where ghosts reside since the beginning of The Sims games. Although it wasn't mentioned until The Sims 3, it is presumed to have existed since the series began. In The Sims 3, once a ghost has become playable, the player has the option to return it to its unplayable state by selecting their tombstone which is located in the inventory and click "Return to the Netherworld." If there is a tombstone belonging to another Sim with the same name as the playable ghost, clicking on it may cause the "Return to the Netherworld" option to appear.
  • The only known entrance to the Netherworld in modern times was uncovered by Indiana Jones in 1935, at the end of the Terracotta Maze in the Emperor's Tomb in Xian, China. The portal from the Tomb to the Netherworld led to the first region of the Netherworld: a fragmented replica of a section of the Great Wall of China suspended in midair, guarded by bright blue spirits of the dead. Jones moved across the pieces of the Great Wall, battling terra cotta statues and using his whip. This pathway led to a floating palace, called the Black Pagoda, with a deadly electrified hall within over a long, bottomless pit. Above, Jones cautiously crossed through the hall on floor tiles that momentarily disappeared and reappeared, providing another deadly challenge. At the end was the throneroom of the Firs
  • The background in this dimension is orange, and there is very little gravity, as shown by the floating rocks that the demons used as platforms to stand on. Jade was able to leap great distances from rock to rock as a result. Bai Tza also states this dimension has no moisture and humidity, calling it a "bone dry pit". By the end of the series, all the demons sorcerers including Drago were condemned here for eternity.
  • The Netherworld is the land of the dead and is made up of an infinite number of realms. It is the place where souls go upon death and transform into the folks that inhabit the realms. The heart of the Netherworld is a realm called the Netherworld Core. There is only one night of the year where humans can enter the Netherworld, this is called the 'Night of Samhain'. If you want it badly enough, you can meet with the dead from the henge in Doolin. However, during the course of the storyline, you find out that this isn't strictly true and there is another way to enter - by offering a Memento of the dead at the henge. A human entering the land of the dead must first protect themselves by wearing a cloak or they will eventually transform into a folk. An example of this would be Phutcampus. Once

Once a door to the Netherworld has opened, it will look like a huge glowing symbol and will only be visible at night. To enter the door to this realm, walk up to the foot of the symbol and press Image:Button x.gif. To leave the Netherworld, you must find and use a portal.

By the end of the series, all the demons sorcerers including Drago were condemned here for eternity. Using the power of all eight Elemental forms of Demon Chi, Drago was able to open a portal to the Demon Netherworld; by employing a reversal spell, Uncle and Tohru were able to cause it to draw the escaping demons and Drago into it, with Shendu being drawn in as well when Drago tricked him. Xiao Fung and Bai Tza once referred the Netherworld as an abyss and a pit, respectively.

At the end was the throneroom of the First Emperor of China, whose magically preserved corpse sat in its throne chair. In his mouth was the Heart of the Dragon, a huge black pearl that strengthens its user and allows him or her to manipulate the actions of others. On the other side of the Black Pagoda, is the Dragon's Claw, the lair of the Netherworld dragon, where Jones defeated Marshal Kai and where the Heart of the Dragon fell into the abyss.
  • [[Ficheiro:PMiSS_netherworld.jpg|thumb| Ilustração de Perfect Memento in Strict Sense.]] Livros e artigos: * Perfect Memento in Strict Sense: Netherworld

In The Sims 3, once a ghost has become playable, the player has the option to return it to its unplayable state by selecting their tombstone which is located in the inventory and click "Return to the Netherworld." There is a known glitch in The Sims 3 that when a ghost is out of the Netherworld, if the player uses the "MoveObjects" cheat and deletes the tombstone, the ghost will be trapped onto the mortal plane but cannot be cured with ambrosia. This is not recommended because this will cause the ghost to never be playable and cannot be changed back to human form (Even if the animation plays). If there is a tombstone belonging to another Sim with the same name as the playable ghost, clicking on it may cause the "Return to the Netherworld" option to appear. In The Sims 4, ghosts return and the Netherworld is mentioned again with the ability of other Sims being able to release the ghost into the Netherworld, removing the Sim from the game.

Normally, when a person dies in either our universe or the Strange World's universe, his or her counterpart dies in the other reality also. However, if one of those people is in the Netherworld they are no longer connected and bound by those rules. For example, when Iolaus died, Iolaus II survived by being in the Netherworld at the time (HTLJ "Stranger and Stranger") or when Ares of the regular universe killed Sovereign in Netherworld. Hercules could sense the death of the Sovereign but was unaffected by his death. Being in the Netherworld can also protect someone from changes in the timeline of a universe. For example, when Callisto went back in time and killed Alcmene/Alcmene II before Hercules/Sovereign was born, both the hero and the villain should have ceased to exist but because they were in the Netherworld at the time they were protected (HTLJ "Armageddon Now Part 2"). The Utma Dagger was sent to the Netherworld, so it couldn't fall into the wrong hands. Xena with the spirit of the Yakut managed to bring it to their universe. The Netherworld was shown as woods.
