  • Dourshe was a male Dronos Tetrarch. He was the only Tetrarch to rule during the Great Liberation without being one of the last four Tetrarchs, due to his death at the Battle of Vall`to. A lawyer from the Dronos homeworld of Telacia, Dourshe had done undergraduate study at the Grand Academy of Arts and Letters, and began work in the Tetrarchy bureaucracy immediately after receiving his law degree. He defended the Tetrarchy in numerous civil suits on member worlds, and developed a reputation for possessing a fine understanding of the subtlest nuances and technicalities of law. After a decade of service, his competitors for position engineered his transfer to relatively insignificant Rubutu in the Xoquon sector, where he was appointed a magistrate.

Despite Rubutu's own lack of influence, Dourshe wrote several well-received and articulate rulings defending Tetrarchy positions, and became known for verdicts favoring the government. His superiors felt he had a knack for writing opinions in ways that supported government positions but could persuade third parties to see his point of view. He was promoted to a clerkship for a judge over the Vall`to sector itself, then transferred to a bench in the Mezlag sector world of Dolomir. On Dolomir Dourshe prospered, leaving the judiciary to enter the bureaucracy. He employed his knowledge of the law to provide for exploitation of resources on some member worlds which had not ensured their adequate protection from the government. Impressed with his abilities, the reigning Dronos Tetrarch appointed Dourshe to his personal staff as a legal advisor. Covertly, Dourshe advised Mezzel Tetrarch Idiian Gundo on ways to undercut his employer's power and influence. The Dronos became aware of Dourshe's duplicity, but before he could act on it, Umdal Tetrarch Lahek Gril had him poisoned. Dourshe was elected to take his master's place as a Tetrarch. After using his newfound authority to eliminate the enemies who had had him transferred to Rubutu, Dourshe settled into his role as a governing member. He found himself at odds with Gundo and Gril, but was able to court a network of supporters and informants for himself. He agreed to the promotion of Pexereca Tainer to the Tetrarchy, as the two had many friends in common, but found Tainer and Gundo became close. In 100 ABY, Tetrarchy scouts engaged Golden Empire forces at the Skirmish at Quadia and began the Great Liberation. He made numerous addresses on behalf of the Tetrarchy, employing his gift for words to downplay the seriousness of the situation and attempt to eradicate faith in Tariun Sakaros's shadowfeed into Tetrarchy communications. However, after the Raid on Ommol, he began to leave the matter to the Ministry of Information. When Admiral Garyth Quorr assembled his forces for a defense of Baes, Dourshe went to Vall`to, ostensibly to shore up morale but also to ensure the system's absolutely loyalty to the Tetrarchy. He was also suspicious of Quorr, an influential Mezzel who Dourshe felt was angling for a seat among the Tetrarchs—perhaps Dourshe's own. Quorr was defeated at Baes and withdrew to prepare a secondary defense at Vall`to, where Dourshe insisted on personally accompanying his fleet to keep an eye on the Admiral, coming aboard his flagship, the Anhalia. Dourshe panicked when Tariun Sakaros outmaneuvered Quorr at the Battle of Vall`to, but before he could escape the Anhalia, it was blown up, taking Dourshe with it.
