  • The cause of many a problem in the universe, Deathborn is the recent champion of the Underworld's own F-Zero GP. His evil knows no bounds, since the Space Police have connected him to every single missing persons case since the Great Accident; he banishes people into the voids of space where they are vagabonds for the rest of their life & even goes as far as removing his humanity just to become immortal. In GX, he's after the Championship Belt for reasons unspoiled. His machine is the Dark Schneider (aka the "Wings of Darkness"), which has a A-B-D rating, has three DS021P engines, weighs 2080kgs, but has an unknown creator. The cockpit is specially rigged so that if any other pilot tried to use the machine, poisonous needles fire out of the dashboard to kill the intruder. Its main focus is offense and speed so he can kill anyone he pleases, although its tight grip makes it easier to use than most. * A God Am I * Back From the Dead: Thrice, to be exact. * Badass Boast: Had his Motive Rant been delivered to anyone else other than Captain Falcon, it would have been an Oh Crap moment of gigantic proportions. * Badass Cape * Brain In a Jar * Crazy Prepared: His machine is rigged to kill anyone other than himself. * The End of the World as We Know It: Deathborn's ultimate goal in GX's Story Mode. * Eviler Than Thou: Pulls this on Black Shadow. To date, Deathborn is the only character who has caused Black Shadow to visibly cower in fear. * Evil Plan: Of course, he ignores Item #7. * Evil Sounds Deep/Power Echoes * Flip-Flop of God: Possibly overlapping with Motive Decay. Is he going to destroy the universe or simply reign supreme over it? Story Mode suggests the former, his post-GP interviews say otherwise. * I Call It Vera: "The Dark Schneider! The wings of darkness!" * Kneel Before Zod: "Don't get up off your knees [Captain Falcon]. Everyone is going to bow down to me eventually anyhow." * The Man Behind the Man * Milking the Giant Cow * Monochromatic Eyes * Ominous Latin Chanting: Perhaps not Latin, but Deathborn's theme in GX follows the themes present in all the GX villain songs with added ominous something chanting, combined with an Ominous Pipe Organ. * Omnicidal Maniac * Shoulders of Doom * Teleporters and Transporters: Inside of his body is a device that allows Deathborn to instantaneously appear anywhere in the galaxy at a moment's whim. Anywhere. * Villainous Breakdown: When Captain Falcon finally defeats him, Deathborn's calm and facetious nature is replaced by a metric ton of ham. He then haphazardly drives his vehicle off of the course, divebombing into a sea of lava, where it promptly explodes. * Villains Out Shopping: His GX master class video appears at first to be him simply crushing all resistance in an F-Zero race and causing terror, but is later shown just to be him watching a movie about himself doing these things, while still cackling evilly. * We Can Rebuild Him * Yin-Yang Bomb: Reveals that the combination of the regular and Underworld championship belts (light and darkness, respectively) is this. Deathborn plans to harness this power so he can determine the fate of all life in the galaxy as he sees fit. * You Have Failed Me: Deathborn was very punctual about how Black Shadow couldn't afford to lose this time. Now, he's going to be very punctual about delivering an Agony Beam. * You Have Outlived Your Usefulness: He banishes Black Shadow to the ends of the universe when he fails to beat Captain Falcon in the F-Zero GP.
