  • Green Goblin is the divergent personality of industrialist Norman Osborn. He was also Spider-Man's arch-enemy, greatest foe, and the one who's responsible for the disappearance of Mary Jane Watson. Norman's son Harry Osborn later took up the identity of Green Goblin.
  • The Green Goblin is the alias of a number of Marvel Comics supervillains, the most high-profile of which is Norman Osborn.
  • Green Goblin (Norman Osborne)is a Marvel villain and Spiderman's nemesis. Although he has lightened up a bit since he nearly died after Spiderman 1. He is obsessed with Willem Dafoe and Harley Quinn.
  • Green Goblin has a moulded helmet to resemble his appearance in the film, which was a grotesque, angry goblin face and gold printing for its eye lenses and teeth. In the back, it slopes diagonally and is open. The head is green and printed with Osborn's yellow face visible through the head mask. The face is identical to Norman Osborn's, and the back is printed with the back of the goblin mask with five "V"'s. His torso, arms, and legs are bright green, while his hips and hands are dark green. The torso is printed on the front and back to resemble the character's armour, which consists of several body armour plates held together. The printing continues onto the legs, where it depicts knee pads.
  • Norman Osborn had everything one could desire in life. A good son, a vast corporation, and power. But he wanted more. Much, much more. It was this greed that would eventually lead to him developing an experimental serum for the United States Military that would enhance a soldier's strength, endurance and intelligence. However, Norman's collegue and right hand man Dr. Mendall Stromm, insisted that the formula was far too dangerous to be tested on humans due to some very disturbing side effects found in the rodent tests, namely insanity. Pressured with a growing deadline by the military inspectors lead by the crass and stern General Slocum, Osborn tests the serum on a human subject -- himself. However, the serum, while enhancing Osborn's intellect and strength, also turned him insane. Killin
  • The Green Goblin is the alias of several fictional characters that appears in comic books published by Marvel Comics and the arch-nemesis of Spider-Man. The first and most high-profile incarnation Norman Osborn first appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man #14 and was created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. The Green Goblin is a Halloween-themed supervillain whose weapons resemble bats, ghosts and jack-o'-lanterns. Comics journalist and historian Mike Conroy writes of the character: "Of all the costumed villains who've plagued Spider-Man over the years, the most flat-out unhinged and terrifying of them all is the Green Goblin."
  • The Green Goblin began as a filthy rich man known as Norman Osborn, cousin of Ozzy Osbourne. Like his cousin, Norman had a great interest in drugs and heavy metal imagery. But in contrast to his cousin who actually took drugs, Norman was like Walter White and sold his nootropic goblin steroids down at the gym and to medical students during hell week. Norman's drug selling began when his Canadian cousin sent him a package of experimental chemicals from a Weapon program animal test for Christmas. Norman at the time was not interested in taking the experimental nootropic roids deemed unfit for human consumption, so he sold them at a New Years party to friends in the army about to ship out. They sold so well, he decided to open his own legitimate pharmaceutical company Oz Corp. The business wa
  • Norman, however, is transformed into a muscular, grotesque, demonic-looking monster, granting him superhuman strength, reflexes, stamina and durability, and enabling him to leap great distances. He is also pyrokinetic, as he can throw flaming balls of destructive energy and (in the Ultimate Spider-Man video game) surround himself with flames. In an attempt to destroy all evidence of his existence, the Goblin kills Norman's wife and attempts to kill Harry, who manages to escape while the house is burning down. The next day, he attacks Harry's school but is stopped by Spider-Man. During the fight, the Goblin plummets off a bridge into the river, seemingly dead. However, Norman survives and has, in his words, "evolved". He can now control his transformations into an intelligent incarnation of

Description
  • Businessman and inventor Norman Osborn was experimenting with a formula that would make him superhumanly powerful when the chemicals exploded in his face. After this accident, Osborn spiraled into insanity. Attempting to achieve power beyond his wildest dreams, Norman planned to become the most powerful mob boss of all. Remembering a giant green goblin monster from childhood nightmares, he created a costume that reflected that monster, and he became the original Green Goblin. To prove his power and establish his reputation, he targeted the young superhero Spider-Man as his victim of choice, starting a neverending obsession with the wall-crawling superhero that would turn each other into their nemesis. The Green Goblin was created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko, first appearing in .

He came with standard minifigure heads in trans orange to resemble his pumpkin bombs in the film, as well as with his purple, dark grey, and white brick built glider. The design of the glider changes between 1374 Green Goblin and 4852 The Final Showdown.

Comics journalist and historian Mike Conroy writes of the character: "Of all the costumed villains who've plagued Spider-Man over the years, the most flat-out unhinged and terrifying of them all is the Green Goblin." It should be noted that while most who have worn the mask are villains, the Green Goblin identity itself tends to have it's own personality distinct from its wearer. For example, Norman Osborn, though evil, has a different personality from his alias, being more cold-blooded and treacherous as opposed to the Green Goblin's manic and unrestrained personality. The likely reason for this is the Goblin Serum creating a sort of "alternate persona" for whoever injects themself with it. As such, no matter who wears the costume, the Green Goblin is ultimately a homicidal, sadistic, and destructive force to be reckoned with.
The business was a huge success and he was quickly rocketed to a billionaire. Choosing to further cash in on the success, Norman used some of his money to open a weapons division to snatch that hovering municipal city vehicles contract from the Fantastic Four and corner the semi autonomous drone market midair before Tony Stark caught wind of it. Norman started supplying his drug addicted thugs with hovercycles and laser guns and thus born were the world's first super gangsters. Within three weeks of opening Oscorp, Norman's earning far surpassed Bill Gates's, and he hadn't yet even invented the pager or the cellphone to better do drug deals.
Killing Stromm, Osborn dons a very sophisticated combat suit and steals the experimental flight wing to become the twisted and perverse monster Norman called "the Green Goblin", due to the color of the suit and green being Norman's favorite color. As the Goblin, Norman ruthlessly murdered all of his business rivals and those he generally considered to be inferior. It was in one of these assassination attempts he encountered the Amazing Spider-Man. The two battled it out to a standstill, where Spider-Man ended the fight by sabatoging the Goblin's glider. But instead of hating his new enemy, Norman finds the son he always wanted in Spider-Man. Smart, powerful, he reminded Norman of himself and attmepted to recruit him to his destructive path of mayhem he planned on causing in the city. However Spider-Man refused and so began the viscious rivalry that makes these two so memorable. Using his cunning and putting together the pieces that seem to connect Spider-Man and his alter-ego Peter Parker(who is best friends with Norman's son Harry), the Goblin figures out that Parker is in fact his hated enemy. Soon, the inevitable happans and the Goblin ruthlessly terrorizes all of Parker's loved ones, including Mary Jane Watson, the love of Peter's life. The Goblin kidnapped MJ and challenged Spider-Man to a confrontation at the Queensboro bridge. Spider-Man watches in the distance as Goblin maniacly causes destruction of all sort. The Goblin destroys the tram wire and uses his strength to keep a tram car from falling. Spider-Man arrives and confronts the Goblin, who joyfully holds Mary Jane in one arm hundreds of feet over freezing water, and in the other arm, the tram car full of children. Goblin mocks Spider-Man that only fools are heroes because at any moment some maniac could come along with a sadistic choice. He offers Spider-Man to save the woman he loves most, or save tram car full of innocent children. Letting both go, the Green Goblin laugh's maniacly as Spider-Man desperatly tries to save both. To his rage Spidey succeeds! But Goblin refuses to give up, he flies his glider, attacking Spider-Man left and right. But Spider-Man refuses to give in. Eventually, the web head succeeds. Goblin ambushes Spider-Man once again, and captures him by wrapping a steel cord around him. First Appearance: [Comics] "The Amazing Spider-Man" issue #14. (July 1964). Created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. [Movies] Spider-Man. Portrayed by actor Willem Dafoe. Abilities: Superhuman strength, intellect, stamina, durability, agility and reflexes due to ingesting the Goblin Serum Weapons: Goblin Glider. (Incredibly fast and manuverable, bat-shaped, rocket glider.) "Bag of Tricks", which usually contains pumpkin bombs. (Jack-o-lantern shaped grenades. Which have different uses, explosives, smoke bombs, gas bombs.)
He can now control his transformations into an intelligent incarnation of the "Green Goblin" via OZ injections. Due to overdosing on OZ, Osborn suffers from hallucinations. These include seeing everything through a blood-red filter, objects such as the Spider on Spider-Man's chest moving around, and creatures called "plasmids" tormenting him. Taking Harry back, Norman moves back into the city, blaming rival Justin Hammer for the explosion. Under the spell of the Goblin, he reveals himself to Parker, telling him to give up the life as Spider-Man and work for him, or suffer the deaths of Parker's loved ones. The Goblin tells Parker to kill Nick Fury, the Head of S.H.I.E.L.D. When Parker refuses, the Goblin kidnaps Mary Jane Watson, Peter's girlfriend, and attempts to kill her by hurling her from the top of a bridge. Spider-Man is able to save Mary Jane, and joins S.H.I.E.L.D. operatives in attacking Osborn. The battle continues at Osborn's Manhattan penthouse, where the Goblin transforms even further after taking several more OZ injections and begins to choke the life out of Parker. Harry discovers the scene, picking up a shattered window pane and jamming it into his father's back, reverting him to his human self. Norman is taken into custody by S.H.I.E.L.D. In the Ultimate Six limited series, the Goblin and his old assistant, Dr. Octavius, devise a plan to escape from prison which uses Norman's new ability to transform into his demon form at will. It also seems that he is no longer under the influence of the hallucinogenic "plasmids", with Norman stating that he has been undergoing a "transitioning stage" during his last confrontation with Peter; furthermore, his speech is more coherent in his Goblin form, suggesting that he is no longer hallucinating as a result of the Oz formula. They kidnap Spider-Man, tie him to a chair, and force him to join them. The Goblin considers Parker to be his 'true' son and believes Parker belongs with him. In a battle between the Ultimate Six and the Ultimates at the White House, Harry is used as a trump card by Nick Fury. Harry pleads with his father to stop. Norman is about to change back when a trigger-happy Iron Man blasts him from behind, severely altering Norman's genes and causing him to lash out at the S.H.I.E.L.D. personnel before being shot down to Harry's horror. He is again taken into custody. At the end of the issue, he is revealed to be in cryogenic suspension, with half of his face in Goblin form on account of Iron Man's reckless shooting. In the Ultimate Spider-Man video game, the Beetle, a Latverian mercenary, breaks him out to provide samples for Latverian experiments in creating super-soldiers. The Goblin rampages around New York City, but is stopped by Spider-Man after a confrontation in the UN Conference Building. In Ultimate Spider-Man #112, Norman Osborn is again in semblance of a human, and is kept in a high-security cell with other superhuman prisoners. When contacted by Carol Danvers, Norman states that he will answer only to Fury; he then transforms into the Goblin, and breaks away from security measures, the OZ in his system having re-worked his body in a further process of what he refers to as 'Evolution'. In #113, the reader is given a look into his state of mind. Though no longer haunted by 'Plasmids', the Goblin has given in to severe paranoia, believing everyone save him to be insane, and Nick Fury a tyrant, imprisoning anyone with the power to stand up to him. In his breakout, he enlists the promised help of Electro as payback for freeing him; other Supervillains that escape include Omega Red, Kraven the Hunter, and what appears to be Gwen Stacy, the new Carnage. The Goblin's stratagem upon escape is simple; he resumes as Norman, then appears on a talk show, claiming that Nick Fury held him in a prison against his will, just as he was on the brink of creating a drug to solve America's military problems. In issue #117, the Goblin goes into an explosive rage when confronted with a TV broadcast of a (staged) S.H.I.E.L.D. press conference with Harry declaring that Norman was evil and killed Harry's mother (the press conference in fact was held aboard the S.H.I.E.L.D. helicarrier and only transmitted to the TV Norman was watching), and ended up assaulting the helicarrier; Harry manifests a form similar to Norman's, but loses the resultant melee and is beaten to death when he returns back to his human form. With both the S.H.I.E.L.D. troops and Norman horrified at what he's done, he reverts to his own human form, turns around and asks to be killed -- Carol Danvers, in charge of S.H.I.E.L.D. while Nick Fury is away, simply says "Gladly," before obliging. Since Norman Osborn's powers derive from the OZ formula, his strength derives from how much he is exposed to. When the Green Goblin is created, the smaller dosage gives him green claws, horns and head, though the rest of him is human like in appearance. When he returns, he uses larger dosages of OZ to become larger and completeley green, with more crests. When Osborn overdoses on OZ, his horns, stature and muscles become larger, as does the number of crests. Osborn later develops a way to transform without OZ into a larger, more powerful form, making injections obsolete.
