The ones he manages to defeat get loaded onto a bus and taken to Dr. Robotnik himself to be put to work. He is defeated by Sonic, who manages to destroy his hustling robot by beating it at a game in which he must find the pea under the right nutshell out of three. Smiley tries to warn Robotnik who doesn't want to listen. Later in the episode, he helps Robotnik capture Tails and tells Sonic regarding the matter. Sonic threatens him that if Tails is hurt, he'll be back for him, however Smiley is never seen again.
