Years later the mysterious man called Lutan managed to put him in the right direction to be able to finally restore his power. Lutan also "let slip" the existence of Kingdom Hearts. A place that he becomes convinced could give him unlimited power and in this pursuit form an alliance with other lke-minded villains. He and the fellow banished sorcerer with an axe-to-grind aginst a royal family Rasputin being the first two to team-up.
