(SG1: "Transitions") When she was released from the pod of about ten thousand years after that, she used amplifier bracelet to create an energy blast that took out the three Tau'ri members of the Trust who had opened her pod. Cassandra Fraiser, which had been captured by the group, was able to defend himself from the explosion to use her own powers. Amara would later use amplifiers bracelet to create a wormhole from Stargate Command for Atlantis for her to go to the city to cure Ancient contagion, running amok. The second purpose was related to the unique gift the Force had bestowed upon Amara, as the being was able to see the very nature of the Force within everything, and could tell with unerring ease whether it was light or dark side energy that flowed through anything. Amara sought to use this talent to spy imbalances in the Force and equalize them, but over the thousands of years it become twisted and warped into a true dark-side being, craving only power and eternal rule. Though the numerous droid bodies Amara possessed, alongside its crystalline nature, allowed it to effectively exist for eternity if careful, Amara nevertheless pushed the boundaries of its body, enhancing the droid chassis with the dark side talent of Mechu-deru repeatedly. Over the millennia Amara took on a number of personae to hide from the galaxy at large, manipulating events from the shadows, but finally re-emerged after a long struggle along the path to redemption, becoming a Jedi once more, and rising to serve on the Jedi Council. During the events of Cursor's Fury, she leads a covert operation with Lady Aquitaine, Bernard, Aldrick, and Odiana to free Lady Placida, Rook's daughter, and the daughter of an Aleran Lord from the stronghold of Lord Kalare. During those events, Amara believes she is pregnant, until her menses returns near the end of the book. In Captain's Fury, Amara embarks on a dangerous mission with Bernard and Gaius Sextus to defeat Kalarus. At the conclusion of this mission Amara feels "betrayed" by the First Lord and resigns her post as a cursor. During the events in Princeps' Fury, Amara and Bernard are asked by the First Lord to sneak into Vord infested territory in hopes that they might discover the Source of the Vord's new power. In First Lords Fury's epilogue it is revealed that she is with child, her blight being cured by the "blessing of night" which she ingested to recover from the poisonous injuries inflicted by the Vord Queen. Also in the final volume she is responsible for the death of the traitorous Invidia Aquataine who was in servitude of the Vord Queen.
