| abstract | - Stabil is a trauma treatment drug created by Dr. DNA. Stabil is a broad, systemic effecting drug, generally reserved for serious trauma victims who must be moved. It's most common form is an auto-injector single use pen, and is restricted to Level III EMT/EMS professionals or Deep Sea Trauma Kits sold to sea going vessels. When used, the drug introduces a mild euphoria to calm the patient while keeping them conscious. The pain center is suppressed along with a systemic purge of Epinephrine in the system. A modified form of AdrenaliMAX keeps the heart and breathing rate going, but at reduced level to stabilize blood pressure. The liver and kidneys are stimulated to purge foreign substances from the blood stream. Due to the stress placed on the liver and kidneys, Stabil is not without risk, but is considered a life saving emergency procedure. There have been deaths due to liver or kidney failure or both from Stabil use. The patent for Stabil was sold to the International Red Cross and Red Crescent for an undisclosed amount, rumored to have been $1(US) The IRC licenses Stabil to a number of companies for production.
