They played at the Jacksonville Memorial Coliseum as part of the East Coast Hockey League but wanted a larger, newer coliseum. When they didn't get it, they suspended operations following the 1999-2000 season. The Lizard King General managers were Jeff Brubaker, Larry Lane, and Shawn Hegan.
