| abstract | - Alema Rar and her older sister, Numa, were Jedi Knights during the era of the Stellar Imperial War. Both were trained away from the Jedi Academy by a former student of Luke Skywalker, and they came to join the larger group of Jedi early in this war. Alema had strong skills in stealth and secret warfare, as well as investigations, and she was chosen to investigate the communications loss in the Doldur Asteroid Belt in 28 ABY. She was the only one of the original group to reach the asteroids, where she fell victim to the Dantooine Virus, which had spread to the asteroids and was responsible for the loss of transmissions. Her final reports about the virus' effects, though, proved to be useful, especially since a second biowarfare agent similar to the first was soon released on Coruscant.
