Nicknamed Sab by her teammates, she started playing at the age of 5, accompanied on the ice by her father and two brothers. She worked in 2010 and 2011 as an assistant with the Syracuse University Division 1 women's hockey team and is currently pursuing a career in the mining industry thanks to a Master's degree in math and education.
