After the Battle of Kamino, and the destruction of Timira City, the cloning of Terror Troopers was haulted. Terror Troopers usually worked in small groups usually three to four. They sometimes work with Stormtroopers, but almost never seen with Imperial riot troopers.

The project was revived more than a decade later with the rise of Emperor Damascus, who based the new Terror Troopers on the planet Byss. While Damascus fell at the Battle of Corellia roughly a year after the start of the project, the Terror Troopers didn't die with him and continued to be developed by Regent Grand Admiral Thrawn as dedicated assassins that could be used to quietly remove enemies of the Empire. They found use during the following Xen'Chi War, eliminating Xen'Chi commanders and allowing more conventional Imperial forces to take advantage of the resulting discord. The Terror Troopers have remained active after the war and are one of the better kept secrets of the Imperial Military. To maximize on stealth, Terror Troopers focus on infiltration and forgo conventional projectile weapons, primarily relying instead on melee and hand-to-hand attacks. They have been conditioned to be in peak physical condition and are noted for their incredible agility, which allows them to dodge most attacks.
