  • The 1961-45 was a Grand National (now Sprint Cup) - Pacific Coast Late Model Series (now Camping World West Series) combination event held at California State Fairgrounds on September 10, 1961. Eventual PCLMS season champ Eddie Gray led 75 of the 100 laps in route to victory by one lap over Bob Ross. It was Gray's fourth and final career win in a combination race. Many of the sport's best drivers, including eventual GN season champ Ned Jarrett, decided not to make the long haul to Sacramento. Stats
