Jedoch zitterten meine Hände von dem Adrenalin, welches ich ausstieß als ich das Knacken hörte. Ich brauchte einige Minuten um mich wieder auf das zu konzentrieren, was ich eigentlich vorhatte. Ich musste noch ein paar Wikipedia Artikel durchgehen und mir, wenn nötig, von der Firma kopieren lassen. Ich seufzte. Ich ging auf meinen Browser und öffnete die Seite. Ich schaute auf die Uhr. 11:40 Uhr. Es war nicht sehr schlimm, jedoch ärgerte mich, dass ich es unbedingt noch heute machen musste zumal ich am nächsten Tag einen frühen Termin beim Arzt hatte. Als ich mir die ersten Artikel ansah und wichtige Dinge herausfilterte wurde ich schon langsam müde und ich verfiel in eine Art Trance. Nach Minuten gelangte ich in die reale Welt zurück und wollte mich schon schlafen legen, da sah ich es. Der kleine Link oben links in der Spalte mit dem Namen "Zufälliger Artikel". Ich konnte mich nicht erinnern, dass ich diesen Link jemals vorher gesehen hatte. Ich klickte auf denn Link und wurde auf die erste Seite von Wikipedia weiter geleitet, die sie für mich als zufällig betrachteten. Doch etwas war anders. Der Artikel handelte von verstorbenen Leuten aus dem ersten und zweiten Weltkrieg. Doch nicht das, sondern die Tatsache, dass dort Bilder in aller Form zu sehen waren, verstörte mich so sehr. Ich war gespannt was die nächste Seite für mich parat hielt und ich klickte wieder auf den Link. Doch was ich dar sah verschlug mir die Sprache. Ich sah Bilder von Leuten die auf brutalste Art und Weise verunstaltet waren. Einige hatten keine Augen und Zähne, wieder anderen fehlten Körperteile wie Arme oder Beine. Doch was mich dieses Mal beunruhigte, war, dass die Wunden klar zu sehen waren. Ich wollte schon den PC ausmachen und mich schlafen legen, doch meine Neugierde wenn man es überhaupt so nennen kann, war stärker und so klickte ich erneut auf denn Link. Ich wünschte ich hätte dies niemals gemacht, denn was mir dort geboten wurde war nicht möglich. Ich sah Freunde, Verwandte und sogar meine Eltern auf brutalste Weise aufgeschlitzt. Es dauerte ein paar Sekunden bis die neue Seite geladen hatte, doch es fühlte sich an, wie eine halbe Ewigkeit. Dann war es soweit: ich sah die nächste Seite, doch da war nichts. Kein Titel, kein Bild, gar nichts. Ich war verwirrt und ging auf der Seite nach unten. Having steadily risen in popularity since its inception, it currently ranks among the top ten most-visited web sites worldwide. Critics of Wikipedia target its systematic bias and inconsistencies and its policy of favoring consensus over credentials in its editorial process. As a result, contemporary popular icons with relatively low overall significance (TV hosts, pop singers etc.) are often more prominently featured than historical figures with high global importance. Wikipedia's reliability and accuracy are also an issue. Other criticisms are centered on its susceptibility to vandalism and the addition of spurious or unverified information. Scholarly work suggests that vandalism is generally short-lived. In addition to being an encyclopedic reference, Wikipedia has received major media attention as an online source of breaking news as it is constantly updated. When Time Magazine recognized "You" as its Person of the Year 2006, praising the accelerating success of on-line collaboration and interaction by millions of users around the world, Wikipedia was the first particular "Web 2.0" service mentioned, followed by YouTube and MySpace.
