It was annexed into the Ascendancy after the Vagaari were driven out of the area in 46 ABY, but not inhabited until 50 ABY when it became a strategic location. There are no native species on the planet and no cities. A mining facility and a large military base are all that exists. The atmosphere is light and has little oxygen which dictates breathing masks when outside. There is almost no water and little plant or wildlife. Since many dozen such planets exist in the Ascendancy, the only reason this planet was occupied was because of its strategic importance as a defense against the Horothrium. The military first took interest in the planet to accomplish its Erstis Redoubt Plan to contain the expansion of the Horothrium into territories claimed by the Ascendancy. A base was built on the planet in 50 ABY and valuable metals were found shortly later while scanning for possible bunker locations. A company took interest in the find and gained permission to open a small mining operation on the surface.
