  • Wanted Posters are a set of 159 collectibles in Mafia II. They're found on the exteriors of buildings and alleyways around Empire Bay and can be collected whenever the player can roam freely around the city. Each wanted poster depicts a gangster-style mugshot of a member of the 2K Czech staff.
  • Wanted posters are quest-starting signs that are most often placed around towns. These signs usually start quests where the adventurer is asked to defeat a powerful enemy. The posters can be found in both Azeroth and Outland.
  • Ezio Auditore da Firenze first encountered them after the execution of his family. The posters prominently displayed the Pazzi family emblem and promised awards of 50,000 florins to anyone who killed or captured the Assassin once he had committed socially unacceptable behavior. By tearing down wanted posters within cities, Ezio quickly learned to avoid the presence of guards while doing so, who were often alerted once they had detected his actions.
  • When a wanted poster is put up, a white skull will appear on the map at the location of the poster. Once the player accepts the job, the skull will be red and will show the location of the bounty target. Posters are generally found outside of a Sheriff's Office or train station/telegraph office. The player has the choice of viewing the poster and accepting the bounty. After accepting the bounty, Marston will tear the poster off of the wall, fold it, and tuck it into his own pocket.

By tearing down wanted posters within cities, Ezio quickly learned to avoid the presence of guards while doing so, who were often alerted once they had detected his actions. In the mid 18th century, the Assassin Aveline de Grandpré found need to remove wanted posters bearing the image of her slave persona, to decrease any negative focus of her in the public eye. Around the same time, the Assassin Ratonhnhaké:ton also removed wanted posters to reduce his notoriety, or could bribe printers to stop producing them altogether.

Sometimes a wanted poster will appear with no target name and a question mark over a silhouetted face. The poster will contain location and reward information, however. This seems to occur when multiple posters are accessed from the same location on the same day or when the poster is taken immediately after posting. This also happens after completing all bounty missions in a certain area. When this happens, Marston will still know the name of the person he is hunting and will call it out as he normally does upon arriving at the target location.
