  • Myron Winthrop "Mike" McCormick (May 6, 1917 - April 13, 1975) was a professional baseball player. He became the starting center fielder of the Cincinnati Reds in 1940. In 1942, he suffered a fractured leg on the baseball field and missed the remainder of the 1942 season while he recuperated. He left the team in 1943, and returned in 1946. He subsequently played for the Boston Braves (1946-48), the Brooklyn Dodgers (1949), the New York Giants (1950), the Chicago White Sox (also 1950), and the Washington Senators (1951).

  • Mike McCormick, also credited as Michael McCormick, is a puppeteer and sculptor who worked on the Creature Shop productions The Dark Crystal and Labyrinth. On Dark Crystal, McCormick was part of the Skeksis fabrication unit. His role expanded on Labyrinth, serving as goblin armour designer and working on the fabrication of both riding and walking goblins. McCormick taught puppetry for film and TV at the Creative Media Institute of New Mexico State University (Las Cruces) until 2008.
