The echidna found him in the saloon, armed with a futuristic gun, but the weapon was no match for Knuckles' strength. A wild brawl followed, but with the action getting a little too heated, Knuckles and Chito took the battle outside. Beleaguered, Chito confessed that Krouch wanted to kill Rooster. Not giving up, Knuckles later dressed as Chito and impersonated him in front of Krouch, getting a confession that could imprison him (if Krouch hadn't been trampled to death by the stampeding Apterix).
