Dadurch wird Catbat wütend, wodurch er euch ernsthaft angreift und nicht nur spielt. Setzte er anfangs nur die grauen Monster ein, verwendet er nun ausschließlich rote. Ist nur noch ein Kraftpunkt übrig, spuckt er noch ein viertes. Unterstützt wird er außerdem von einem kleinem gelben U-Boot mit Bohrer namens Drill Fish, wodurch das Ausweichen ins Wasser gefährlich wird.

Beim Angriff auf den Kopf des Monsters muss man gleichzeitig über die Löcher springen und den Stachelmonstern ausweichen, was reichlich Geschick und gutes Timing erfordert. Catbat trägt die Armbänder der Goldenen Diva, welche bei einem Sieg einer der vier Schlüssel zur Goldenen Passage sind, wo die Diva wartet.

After taking a significant amount of damage, the bat head dies and Wario has to deplete the rest of the boss's health by pounding onto the cat creature's exposed head. The waves which are used to attack it also start bobbing up and down, making it harder to jump onto the boss correctly.
