  • Loaded (known as Blood Factory in Japan) is a science fiction-themed top-down shoot 'em up video game that was developed by Gremlin Interactive and published by Interplay. Loaded was released in late 1995–early 1996 (around New Year time) on both the Play Station and Sega Saturn. The game had origins in DC comics and more notably the more adult-orientated Vertigo Comics, and there was a small graphic novel based on the game. The six playable characters of the game are a combination of villains, anti-heroes, psychopaths, perverts, mutants, and flamboyant murderers. They are, however, the last hope to stop the intergalactic supervillain code-named F.U.B. and save the universe. The team was popular, but it was obvious that Nash was capable of more. Stokes had the Mysterious Reyes Sr. help school Nash in the finer points of chain wrestling, and demented lucha submission holds. Given Nash's bulk, his lucha libre / Texas brawler style was quiet a hybred, and was a big hit with the fans. Given a tan one-eyed mask, Nash dropped his real name, becoming the "Loaded Revolver." He was immediately thrown into a sink or swim program with monster heel, Rio Grange... the climax of which was a Drinking Game Death match, which completed the transformation into LOADED. Looking to transition Rio Grange into the main event scene, Slim decided to move the Sherif's Badge (secondary title) off of the unbeaten Grange to LOADED, a star was born. Over the next six months, LOADED would feud with heels like the New Desperados (Tuco & Paco), West Texas Misfits, and Hangmen... defending against Paco in the top of the card of Alamo Pro's first PPV. The title was finally transitioned off him half a year later in a handicap match against the Hangmen. By this point LOADED was so popular, he was put in a program with Heavyweight champion, Cosmic Cowboy.

The characters were created and designed with contributions from Garth Ennis of Vertigo Comics and Greg Staples of 2000AD. Later in the same year the game spawned a sequel using almost entirely the same characters and the same game engine, albeit one with mildly improved graphics, named Re-Loaded. Re-Loaded was released on the Play Station and PC at the end of 1996. Although it did not enjoy as good sales as its predecessor, it did however have an acclaimed soundtrack, this time entirely written and recorded by Neil Biggin. A third game in the series entitled Fully Loaded was partially developed, but never released. The game discs of both games could be played as audio CDs. Both games were notorious for their macabre sense of humour, over-the-top violence and extreme gore. Needs Wiki Magic Love.
