Wanting to shield her from the truth, her father kept the death a secret, rather explaining that she abandoned them. Himizu chose to ignore the mystery surrounding her mother, and instead focused on her training in the ways of the kunoichi. She would continue this training until moving to Kumogakure, after her father's new marriage. Having a new mother was quite saddening and joyous at once, but the feeling slowly became that of a warm one. However, like a house of cards, her world began to cave in with the revelation of the reason behind her mother's death. Her father disclosed that it was he who took her life. Angered and distraught, Himizu's hatred took the form of a certain dōjutsu, the eyes feared by the shinobi world. She would then assault her father, using her new-found speed to her advantage. Being the true successor of his father, Yasaki managed to defeat her painlessly by subduing her with a genjutsu. However, Himizu could no longer forgive him, departing after she had been freed. She began to lead a life of crime as she became a young adult, completely isolating herself from her family. Months later, Himizu encounters her cousin Kurumi Yuri, now a missing-nin after rebelling against her father, the Raikage. The two would lock arms and lead the Land of Yang together.
