There, Qui-Gon discovered a young slave boy named Anakin Skywalker, who was strong in the Force. Sensing the boy's potential, Qui-Gon liberated Anakin from slavery. During their departure from Tatooine, Qui-Gon was nearly killed by a dark warrior, whom he suspected to be a Sith Lord. The Jedi Master then traveled to Coruscant to present Anakin to the Jedi Council. The Council, however, felt Anakin's future seemed clouded and uncertain, and deemed the boy too old to begin training and dangerously full of fear and anger. They refused to allow Qui-Gon to train Anakin, but the Jedi Master nevertheless kept the boy as his ward as he returned to Naboo. On Naboo, Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan confronted the Sith Lord Darth Maul, Qui-Gon's attacker from the desert. Maul proved a deadly and fearsome opponent. Together, Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon fended off the Sith Lord's attacks, but as the battle progressed, Master and apprentice became separated. Maul pressed his advantage, wearing down Qui-Gon's defenses and ultimately killing the Jedi Master. Obi-Wan then defeated Maul, but nothing could save Qui-Gon. With his last breath, the Jedi Master asked Obi-Wan to train Anakin, a request Kenobi accepted. A short time later, the Jedi Master's body was cremated at a funeral attended by numerous mourners, including Anakin, Obi-Wan, Jar Jar, and several Jedi Council members. -Master of the ForceQui-Gon Jinn was able to unify and transform into the living force. This was something that had not been seen since the days of the Old Republic. Before his death, Qui-Gon meditated mid-battle with Darth Maul. During the mission to Naboo, Qui-Gon's destiny allowed him to seek out Anakin who would then bring balance to the force in a way which was not expected. The prophecy was seen to be misconstrude by the Jedi Council due to the lack of communication with midiclorians. Before becoming a Padwan learner with Obi-Wan, Qui-Gon tells Anakin Skywalker of the importance of the midiclorians and the way they communicate. "Learn to quiet your mind and you will hear them talking to you". To hear the will of the force was something all Jedi were trained to do and Master Yoda was no exception. Yoda was aware of this and was deep in meditation when he first heard something unexpected. During the masacare of the Sand People, Yoda heard the voice of Qui-Gon calling out "Anakin!". Focusing on this, Yoda then atuned his mind to communicate with Qui-Gon. Something he would later pass to Ob-Wan Kenobi through Qui-Gon's mentoring. Communication with Qui-Gon allowed Yoda and Obi-Wan to transform into the force. Either by increased meditation focus or at the time of passing. Although Qui-Gon did not transform in body, his increased understanding of the force after death allowed him to help Yoda and Obi-Wan regain a strength of Jedi that was lost over a millenia previously. The deterioration to use the force became evident during the time before the Clone Wars as the dark side clouded everything. Fewer Jedi were completely atuned with the force and as a result were unable to concentrate their minds and meditate. Xanatos was the son of Crion, the wealthiest man on the planet Telos. He had a very high midi-chlorian count in his bloodstream, prompting Jinn to take him as an apprentice. Crion reluctantly agreed to let his son leave for Jedi training. Although Xanatos' talents were undeniable, his high birth and attitude often led to clashes with his fellow students. For Xanatos' final test, Jedi Master Yoda sent him and Qui-Gon back to Telos, where a civil war was brewing. Xanatos' father implored his son to join his forces in a bid to control the planet. Xanatos agreed and Qui-Gon found himself at war with his own student. Jinn was forced to kill Crion in battle, and an enraged Xanatos battled his mentor. Though Qui-Gon defeated Xanatos, he could not bear to kill his own Padawan. The defeated student fled and Qui-Gon obsessed over his failure for years, dismissing his earlier successes as a teacher and often referring to Xanatos as his "first" apprentice. Although he vowed to never again train a Padawan, Qui-Gon eventually formed a connection with an adolescent Obi-Wan Kenobi on a mission to Bandomeer. In the swamplands of Naboo, Qui-Gon rescued a clumsy Gungan outcast, Jar Jar Binks, who swore a life-debt to the Jedi. Qui-Gon's compassionate nature was such that he took the strange alien under his protection. With his help, they journeyed to the city of Theed. There, they freed Queen Amidala and her retinue from the clutches of the Trade Federation, and set off to deliver her safely to Coruscant. During the trip to the capital, damaged sustained to the Royal Starship forced an unscheduled stop on the Outer Rim world of Tatooine. There, Qui-Gon discovered a young slave boy named Anakin Skywalker, who was strong in the Force. Sensing the boy's potential, Qui-Gon liberated Anakin from slavery. During their departure from Tatooine, Qui-Gon was nearly killed by a dark warrior, whom he suspected to be a Sith Lord. The Jedi Master then traveled to Coruscant to present Anakin to the Jedi Council. The Council, however, felt Anakin's future seemed clouded and uncertain, and deemed the boy too old to begin training and dangerously full of fear and anger. They refused to allow Qui-Gon to train Anakin, but the Jedi Master nevertheless kept the boy as his ward as he returned to Naboo. On Naboo, Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan confronted the Sith Lord Darth Maul, Qui-Gon's attacker from the desert. Maul proved a deadly and fearsome opponent. Together, Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon fended off the Sith Lord's attacks, but as the battle progressed, Master and apprentice became separated. Maul pressed his advantage, wearing down Qui-Gon's defenses and ultimately killing the Jedi Master. Obi-Wan then defeated Maul, but nothing could save Qui-Gon. With his last breath, the Jedi Master asked Obi-Wan to train Anakin, a request Kenobi accepted. A short time later, the Jedi Master's body was cremated at a funeral attended by numerous mourners, including Anakin, Obi-Wan, Jar Jar, and several Jedi Council members.

Anakin won, and Qui-Gon managed to free him and took him with them back to Coruscant to see if the Jedi Council would accept the boy as a Jedi. Queen Amidala returned to Naboo, and Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, Anakin and Jar Jar went with her. Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan fought the Sith Darth Maul, and Qui-Gon was killed. Obi-Wan killed Maul, and took Anakin as his apprentice.

Dies sollte dazu dienen, dass der Planet der Handelsföderation beitritt. Qui-Gon und Obi Wan wollten den Vizekönig dazu zwingen die Blockade zu beenden. Doch als sie mit ihrem Republikanischen Kreuzer (Republikanischer Kreuzer 7665) landeten geriet der Kreuzer unter Beschuß. Obi Wan und Qui Gon konnte gerade von dem Kreuzer flüchten bevor er zerstört wurde. Als sie auf dem Weg zur Brücke war empfing sie der Protokolldroide TC-14. Er begleitete sie in einen Verhandlungsraum und brachte ihnen etwas zu Trinken. Als er den Raum verließ diskutierten Obi Wan und Qui-Gon darüber wie die Verhandlungen ablaufen würden. Zur gleichen Zeit berichtete der Droide auf der Brücke Nute Gunray, dass er gesehen habe, dass die beiden Botschafter Jedi wären. Nute Gunray der vorher noch nie einem Jedi begegnet war, war jetzt höchst beängstigt und befahl, dass man die Jedi mit allen Mitteln von der Brücke fernhalten sollte. Kurz darauf stieg in dem Warteraum Dioxit auf. Doch Obi Wan und Qui-Gon überlebten und flüchteten aus dem Raum. Vor dem Raum warteten einige Droiden die aber von den beiden aber ohne Probleme zermetselt wurden. Dann kämpften sich die beiden immer weiter bis zur Brücke vor. Doch als sie die Tür zur Brücke mit ihren Laserschwertern die Brückentür aufmachen wollten, stellten sich ihnen Droidekas in den Weg. Obi Wan versuchte die Droidekas zu zerstören. Doch die Droidekas hatten Schutzkugeln die Laserschwertdicht waren und deswegen konnte er sie nicht zerstören.Dann flüchteten Obi Wan und Qui-Gon durch einen Lüftungschacht in den Haupthangar. Sie erkannten, dass der Viezekönig eine Invasion Naboos plante und beschlossen die Naboo zu warnen. Dafür versteckten sie sich auf eines der Landungsschiffe.thumb|left

- Qui-Gon Jinn was a revered Jedi Master in the last days of the Jedi Order and the Galactic Republic. Trained by Count Dooku, Jinn went on to become the master of Obi-Wan Kenobi. Towards the end of their time together, they were assigned to broker the end of the Trade Federation’s blockade of Naboo, but they were unsuccessful and an invasion followed. After rescuing Queen Padmé Amidala, they sought safe refuge on Tatooine. It was there that Jinn discovered Anakin Skywalker and came to believe he was the Chosen One. Despite resistance from the Jedi High Council due to Skywalker’s age, Jinn was a vocal proponent of Skywalker being chosen for Jedi training. On the orders of the Jedi Council, Jinn and Kenobi returned to Naboo with Queen Amidala and fought to liberate the planet from the Federation. During the final battle, Jinn and Kenobi were confronted by Darth Maul and fought in the underbelly of the royal palace. Maul gained the upper hand in the confrontation, and Jinn was mortally wounded. After Kenobi left the Sith Lord gravely injured, he promised his dying master that he would train Skywalker. Kenobi became a Jedi Knight shortly thereafter and, at his master’s funeral, promised Skywalker that he would train him as a Jedi. The legacy of Qui-Gon Jinn lived on long after his death. By the end of the Clone Wars, Skywalker fell to the dark side of the Force and became Darth Vader, the apprentice of Emperor Palpatine. The Jedi Order and the Republic fell, but Kenobi and Jedi Master Yoda survived. Jinn was able to return from the netherworld of the Force and communicate with Yoda, whom he trained to retain his consciousness after death. This secret was passed on to Kenobi, who was able to help Luke Skywalker become a Jedi even after Kenobi himself was killed by Darth Vader. Ultimately, in spite of the galactic hardships, Jinn’s belief that Anakin Skywalker was the Chosen One was vindicated by the redemption of Darth Vader and his defeat of Emperor Palpatine. That act led to the rise of the New Republic and the New Jedi Order.
