| abstract | - The Chevin Conglomerate was the main government of the planet Vinsoth during the centuries leading up to the Cold War and Galactic War between the Republic and the Sith Empire. The Conglomerate had many underworld connections, though they preferred to stay neutral and distant from the conflicts between the two galactic powers since their military strength was minor. However, around the end of the Cold War, the Conglomerate announced the Grand Acquisitions Race—a competition between mercenaries, scavengers, criminals, and agents from both sides of the war to recover a set of rare and unrelated objects for the Conglomerate. These items would be used by the Chevin as an offering to the ancient Gree species, a fleet of which they had learned was returning to known space.
