In 2954, Chambers was elected President of Baltusia in a landslide. However, he was able to form a coalition with other parties and form a government with Adélaïde Bourassa as Prime Minister. In January 2957, an attempt was made against the Chambers government. 49% of Parliament voted in favor of a new cabinet, while 51% voted to retain the current government. Soon after, members of his government resigned and the Chambers government lost a vote of confidence in February. In July, Chambers was ousted as President overwhelmingly. The party lost more seats and Chambers decided to resign as leader of the Social Democrats.
