| abstract | - Sith Squadron is named in honor of the Dark Lord of the Sith, Darth Vader. Every pilot in Sith aspires to emulate Vader, who was said to have been unbeatable in a dogfight. Appropriately, the pilots are all cold-hearted killers and the squadron itself makes it a point to never take prisoners. They prefer to pilot the TIE Avenger instead of the TIE Defender as the Avenger design was based off of Vader’s TIE Advanced x1. Every pilot in Sith knows the capabilities of their fighters by heart and fly the craft more by instinct than reliance on instruments. This has given them a reputation of being Force-sensitive even though that assertion has yet to be proven. Sith Squadron was by far the most dominant squadron on its original headquarters ship, the Kismet, before its destruction at the Battle of Chil'a'Chin. No other squadron dared challenge this reputation, not just because of Sith’s considerable skills, but also out of a healthy fear for their own lives. The pilots in Sith held allegiance to few, giving that honor primarily to Jer Roviditian who recognized the value of the ruthless fighters even if their methods were a bit extreme. Since the Kismet’s starfighters were out in the fray at the time of the Star Destroyer’s destruction, Sith Squadron survived being wiped out with it. They would later be incorporated into the Enforcer’s squadrons under Reng Kasr. Sith has since established a healthy rivalry with the Enforcer’s existing premier squadron, Assassin Squadron.
