  • A wall can be a divider between properties or an interior wall dividing rooms. When measuring rooms or square footage, keep in mind that walls take up space. If a wall is 6 inches thick, then a room could be a 10 foot by 10 foot square or 100 square feet on the inside, but if measure on the outside, it's 11 x 11 or 121 square feet. • The wall defends your village against your enemies' troops. The higher its level the better the basic defense of your village. It also increases the defensive strength of your troops. The wall is one of the most important buildings; it increases troops defence by a substantial amount. To construct a Wall, the village first must have a Barracks (level 1).
  • A Wall is a defensive structure that can be built in Empire Earth for 10 stone. Walls can be turned into Gates providing that there are 5 consecutive wall blocks in a line. Walls can be used as palisades to warn of enemy approach, slowing down enemy advances cheaply, and as protection for inside units. Pre-modern ranged units such as Longbows, Composite Bows, and Slingers can attack from one side of the wall onto the outside. Bombards, Artillery, Colossus Artillery, Hand Cannoneers, Trench Mortars, and Heavy Mortars also have this ability, yet the upside is that they have an area effect damage.
  • Walls are part of buildings, and can be added or removed in Build Mode. Walls define rooms, and keep the inside in and the outside out - which is particularly important with The Sims 2: Seasons and The Sims 3: Seasons. Some items, such as paintings, toilets, some sinks, fire and burglar alarms need to be placed against walls. Walls can also be built diagonally. Diagonal walls can give a house more interesting shapes, but it may not be possible to place some objects on or against them. In The Sims 2 and The Sims 3, windows and doors can be placed on diagonal walls, which was not possible in The Sims.

  • Walls reduce the power of charging enemies, protecting the hero and their creatures from attack. To maximize their effectiveness, walls will instantly move to the front of the battle, closest to the enemy, when they are created. Walls will only block enemy attacks - units can always attack over their own walls. When two sections of wall have been placed in the same line, they will combine to form a thicker wall. Note that this only happens once - if a third section of wall is created, it will be placed behind the thicker section of wall.
  • The wall is a terrain type represented mainly by - and . There are a few ways to pass through walls. * You can dig through most walls. * You can pass through walls if you are polymorphed into a monster that can do so. * A dwarf with a pickaxe, an umber hulk, or a rock mole will randomly dig through walls, clearing a path for you. Sometimes items (mostly gold and gems) are embedded in walls. If a monster, such as a Xorn, is killed while phasing through a wall, any objects it is carrying will become embedded in the wall.
  • A wall is any vertical surface. It is represented as follows: * Two vertices are defined for the endpoints. * A linedef specifies the "from" and "to" vertices, and one or two sidedefs. * Each sidedef names the wall texture(s) displayed on one side of the wall and the sector that that side faces. * The sector defines the floor and ceiling height (bottom and top of the wall).
  • The Wall feature on Facebook allows users to post messages to their Facebook friends, either on their own Wall or their friends' Walls. The entire Facebook site was reformatted in late 2008; as a result, users are now able to post pictures, videos, and other multimedia on each others' Walls along with links and regular text. YouTube video clips are especially popular. The "Wall-to-Wall" feature allows users to view an entire Wall exchange between two users, regardless of how far back the log goes. Only users who are mutual friends or part of the same network can view each other's Wall-to-Wall, unless either user's privacy settings have been changed to dictate otherwise.

The world had two moons (see unnamed moons). In the 23rd century, Wall was home to a Human mining colony, a noted manufacturing planet for the Federation. Among the many items constructed on Wall are orbital shuttles and transports which are used throughout the Federation. As the planet contains only trace elements of precious minerals, many basic necessities had to be imported. However, the trade deficit was covered by the vast amount of shuttles and transports which were sold every year. By reference stardate 2/2306.01, the world had a population of 1.25 billion individuals, mostly Human, and the government was an associate member of the Federation. (FASA RPG module: The Federation)

A linedef, and thus a wall, can be one-sided or two-sided. One-sided walls display a single texture, and have no play area directly behind them. Two-sided walls can display a lower, middle, and upper texture (any of which may be transparent) to help create steps, windows and the like. The "middle" is determined by the floor and ceiling of the sector on the other side of the linedef.

The Sims 2 allows either 2000 or 2100 wall segments per lot before the game will not allow a player to add any more - half-walls are included in this limit, but fences are not. This limit has either been substantially increased or eliminated altogether in The Sims 3, though the upper limit (if any) is unknown. Walls can be covered by paint, wallpaper, brick, stone, wood panels and siding, etc. to increase the mood of Sims. In The Sims 3, walls that are not covered will give Sims negative moodlets; in earlier games, uncovered walls will reduce the Room/Environment score.

Along with Facebook's Inbox and new IM feature, the Wall is the primary mode of user communication on the site. There is a character limit employed on Wall messages to prevent a single message from taking up too much space on a Wall; however, users can sidestep the feature by posting multiple messages as continuations of the others.

The construction workers, mostly consisting of Mexicans, raised Wall up when the perverted neighbors continued to peek in the bathroom even though no one lived there yet. At the tender age of 3, Wall became interested in athletics and sports. Wall tried many: basketball, track and field, and baseball. Then, on one faithful March day, Wall tried his hand at tennis. It was immediately evident from then on that Wall was an extremely talented tennis athlete. Wall was encouraged at its early age to be competitive and start practicing. Wall began training almost immediately, when the residents of the house began to have their daughter battle it. She never won, and was discouraged from ever becoming a professional tennis player. The daughter's coach then abandoned her and recruited Wall to become the new prodigy. This betrayal led to a passionate and violent feud between the residents of the house and Wall.

The wall is one of the most important buildings; it increases troops defence by a substantial amount. To construct a Wall, the village first must have a Barracks (level 1). Rams and catapults can affect the wall, the former able to damage only it, while the latter can target any building in the village. Because walls can help a player cut down an incredibly powerful attack force without rams, it is important to bring wall-damaging siege equipment if you are attacking another player.
