She serves as the deuteragonist of the first season and the true main protagonist of the second season, as she wants to make Wyatt pay for his manslaughter and hit and run. She is the heroic protagonist of the show, while Candace serves as the villainous protagonist. Hanna began working as a maid for one of the two titular Haves family, the Cryers who are the central plot to the show. However, Hanna ends up getting involved in their world thanks to her daughter being the mistress of the family patriarch (and main villain), Jim Cryer. She befriends Jim's wife, Katheryn after supporting her with her breast cancer. However, Hanna's relationship with Katheryn gets strained as her son, Wyatt hit Hanna's son with a car after getting high on drugs and he even killed a little girl namEd Lizzie and Jim connives to protect him. Benny ends up getting on life support and Jim ends up framing Hanna for Wyatt's crime but Katheryn bails her out and moves Benny to a private hospital. However, Hanna and Jim are now enemies.
