(DS9: "Through the Looking Glass") In 2372, a plasma storm hit the planet New Earth, on which Captain Kathryn Janeway and Commander Chakotay were marooned due to a viral infection. The storm wrecked their scientific equipment and Janeway's insect traps, putting an end to her research to try to find a cure for the infection.
