| Text | - Die LEGO Gruppe
Der Name ‚LEGO’ setzt sich aus den beiden dänischen Wörtern „leg godt” zusammen, was so viel bedeutet wie: „Spiel gut!“. Das ist nicht einfach nur unser Name, wir verstehen das als unser Ideal.
Die LEGO Gruppe wurde 1932 von Ole Kirk Kristiansen gegründet. Das Unternehmen blieb seither immer im Familienbesitz. Heute ist Kjeld Kirk Kristiansen, der Enkel des Gründers, Eigentümer der LEGO Gruppe.
Das Unternehmen hat sich in den letzten fast 80 Jahren doch etwas gewandelt – es durchlief eine Entwicklung von einer kleinen Tischlerei zu einem modernen, globalen Unternehmen, das heute, gemessen am Umsatz, der viertgrößte Spielwarenhersteller ist.
Unser Hauptsitz liegt im dänischen Billund, Denmark doch besitzen wir Abteilungen in der ganzen Welt und unsere Produkte werden in über 130 Ländern verkauft.
