  • Albert Einstein was an Ekaterina looking for a Janus clue before he died, he was really murdered by a Lucian scientist in 1955. He accidentally discovered how to make an atomic bomb but hid his work. He did not want to give his research to the government because he wished for world peace, this might mean he was an Ekat turned Madrigal [but it does not say]. He was also considered the smartest man in history.

  • Albert Einstein (14 March 1879 – 18 April 1955) was a German-born theoretical physicist. He developed the general theory of relativity, one of the two pillars of modern physics (alongside quantum mechanics). Einstein's work is also known for its influence on the philosophy of science. Einstein is best known in popular culture for his mass–energy equivalence formula E=mc squared (which has been dubbed "the world's most famous equation"). He received the 1921 Nobel Prize in Physics for his "services to theoretical physics", in particular his discovery of the law of the photoelectric effect, a pivotal step in the evolution of quantum theory.

  • Albert 'Wicked Smaht' Einstein (1879–1955) was a German-born theoretical physicist and the world's first true gangsta. He is famous for his theory of relativity, and specifically the parachute-pants equivalence, E = MC Hammer. Up through the 1930's, his German detractors championed the notion that this and his simultaneously developed quantum theory was all BS "Jewish science" until they woke up one day and realized they could build a bomb with it. Thereafter, it was revealed that Einstein's work was plagiarized, having suddenly been expressed only a few decades earlier by Max Planck, Henri Poincare or other lesser known gangsters. These Einstein referred to as "hairy-assed playa-hatas."
  • Professor Albert Einstein is a Nobel Prize-winning physicist, and the ex-husband of Mileva Maric. During a historical aberration of 1942-1947, the Einsteins were abducted by the Nazis for a plan of Adolf Hitler's to attack the United States with nuclear weaponry of his own. The aberration was eventually negated by the Legends after they approached the doctor, disguised as CIA, forcing him to inform the public and the US government of his spouse's name and her accomplishments, forcing the government to keep both Einsteins safe from the Germans.

  • Albert was born in the 25th century. When he was a baby, he was taught all the science stuff they knew in the 25th century (because they knew how to teach babies), and then they sent in back in time to the 20th century. He grew up in the Einstein family and proved he was smarted than those primitives of the time.
  • Albert Einstein was a groundbreaking German scientist and a "playa". In his youth he knocked up a ..uh.. friend. His contributions to the world of physics are widely known, however, most of them were in fact stolen from Stephen Colbert's personal journal. Like gravity. Einstein was known for his crazy hairsstyles. He was known as the 'Flock of Seagulls' of his day. He would often use his hair to pick up girls, saying, "If I grow my hair out like that can I get relative with you?" It was during this break that Einstein took up alpaca farming. Einstein was 6' 7, 220lbs.

  • Albert Einstein was a scientific genius who changed the way we view our universe. In 1905, he united space and time in one mathematical description. Ten years later he proposed a complete theory of gravity that explained how the universe works, relating mass and energy in the famous equation E = mc2. Many people doubted his theories, but later investigation has since proved Einstein's theories, to have been correct.
  • During his stay at the Patent Office, and in his spare time, he produced much of his remarkable work and in 1908 he was appointed Privatdozent in Berne. In 1909 he became Professor Extraordinary at Zurich, in 1911 Professor of Theoretical Physics at Prague, returning to Zurich in the following year to fill a similar post. In 1914 he was appointed Director of the Kaiser Wilhelm Physical Institute and Professor in the University of Berlin. He became a German citizen in 1914 and remained in Berlin until 1933 when he renounced his citizenship for political reasons and immigrated to America to take the position of Professor of Theoretical Physics at Princeton. He became a United States citizen in 1940 and retired from his post in 1945.

  • Einstein contributed to the theory of a Special Relativity and the theory of General Relativity. He also contributed to the study of Photoelectric Effect, Brownian Motion and Bose-Einstein Statistics. He was critical of quantum mechanics and has proposed the EPR-Paradox in attempt to point out spooky aspects of the theory. The last fifteen years of his life were spent in unsuccessfully searching for a Unified Field Theory. Einstein's best-known scientific work is his 1905 papers on Special Relativity. Einstein did not cite any references and it was widely and falsely assumed that his work was original. The theory of relativity had already been published by Hendrik Lorentz and Henri Poincaré. Einstein's contribution was to give a description of the Lorentz-Poincare theory without reference

  • Albert Einstein, the real-life physicist, is depicted in a couple of episodes of the show. He is voiced by Paul Rugg. In "Cookies for Einstein," he is the last stop on the Warners' Kid Scouts cookie-selling route in 1905 Berne, Switzerland. He refuses to buy any cookies until he has cracked the theory of relativity. While somewhat annoyed by the Warners, he is less adversarial than many of the other people they confront throughout the series. Mostly, he is extremely down in the dumps, calling himself "stupid little Einstein dummy head." Eventually, he cracks the formula with the Warners' help, by writing "acme" backwards (with a deformed "a"), resulting in the formula e=mc 2. (As was later noted in "Please Please Please Get a Life Foundation," this is actually the energy-mass conversion fo

  • In "The King Is Dead", Lois Griffin mentions the “mindless jobs” of famous creative people using Einstein as an example. He was working in the patent office when he stole Smith's Theory of Relativity. Later in the same episode, he attacks God for Shrinky-Dinks. Tom Tucker shows a clip he taped from Entertainment Tonight of Liam Neeson's latest film of Einstein as a killer out for vengeance in "Fighting Irish". The advanced mathematics taught at Corridors, an exclusive pre-school in "Take a Letter", includes Einstein's Theory of Relativity.

  • Albert Einstein (1879–1955) was a famous scientist, theorist, physicist and mathematician renowned for his work concerning gravity, among other controversial scientific topics. He was once Evelyn O'Connell's college Professor.
  • Albert Einstein (March 14, 1879 – April 18, 1955) was a German-born theoretical physicist who developed the general theory of relativity, effecting a revolution in physics. Although he wasn't an actor, Einstein from Disney's 1988 movie Oliver & Company, Albert from the Disney Channel animated series Phineas and Ferb, and Albert Glass from the Disney Channel animated series Fish Hooks were named after him. Dr. Einmug specializes in atomic physics and speaks in a German-like accent which was probably a nod towards Albert Einstein. A picture of Einstein was also seen in the Timon & Pumbaa episode "Monster Massachusetts" and The Proud Family episode "Behind the Family Lines". He was spoofed by Genie in Aladdin and the King of Thieves. In The Brave Little Toaster Goes to Mars, he was mentioned as being a former owner of the Hearing Aid who was left in a junk drawer, as well as in the Epcot attraction Ellen's Energy Adventure. In Cranium Command, when General Knowledge speaks in the pre-show and is explaining that they are different kinds of brains, he shows a picture of Albert Einstein, as the example of a person who uses his brain and Ernest P. Worrell (a popular fictional character played by Jim Varney, who was appearing in series of feature films produced by Disney at the time), as an example of the opposite. He was also mentioned in Saving Mr. Banks, an episode of I Didn't Do It, the Best Friends Whenever episode "A Time to Cheat and the Bizaardvark episode Pretty Con. He was played by Robert Towers in the Hannah Montana episode "Wherever I Go".
  • Albert Einstein was a German born Physicist and Labour Zionist and member of the Jewish Left wing.He is best known for his ground breaking work in Physics such as the Theory of Relativity and E = mc2(now synonymous with Algebra and Math). He is considered a genius. He published over 300 scientific works and over 150 non-scientific works such as "Why Socialism?".

He would often use his hair to pick up girls, saying, "If I grow my hair out like that can I get relative with you?" He did, however, make a few true blue contributions to this great nation of America. These contributions are, of course, in the sport of foosball. During his formative years at the Swiss Patent Office, Einstein perfected the Pull Shot and the Snake Shot, which he took to calling his "Patented Wrist Rocket." Einstein's love for foosball and his competitive drive did not leave him. In 1933, at the age of 53, Einstein began what is now known as his "Relative Reign of Foosball Pain." That year Einstein attended the annual Princeton Foosball Tournament and Symposium which brings professors, undergrads, graduate students, and postdocs to the foosball table for a no-holds-barred winner-take-all competition and theoretical discussion. Einstein won every year from 1933 to 1937. In 1937 he did not allow a single goal to be scored against him and guest participant, Neils Bohr, is rumored to have left the event in tears. Einstein felt his title was secure and abstained from participating in subsequent tournaments. It was during this break that Einstein took up alpaca farming. Einstein is an icon in theoretical physics as well as popular culture. His words carry great weight, even to this day. Despite this, some quotes attributed to him were not accurately captured. His most famous quote may be "God does not play dice with the universe," but what he actually said was, "God does not take a blindfolded bank shot on the weak side from the deep corner." Einstein was 6' 7, 220lbs.

  • Albert Einstein (March 14, 1879 - April 18, 1955) was an German-born Jewish Nobel Prize winning physicist. He is best known for his Theory of Relativity and specifically mass–energy equivalence, expressed by the equation E = mc2. Einstein received the 1921 Nobel Prize in Physics "for his services to Theoretical Physics, and especially for his discovery of the law of the photoelectric effect." Einstein settled in the United States after the Nazi ascendancy, and was instrumental in the creation of the Manhattan Project.
  • __INDEX__ Albert Einstein (* 14. März 1879 in Ulm; † 18.

A najlepiej w pobliże czarnej dziury. Do dziś niefizycy próbują obalić ogólną teorię względności. Jednak póki co jedyne co obalili to ok. 5847 litrów wódki (liczba ta ciągle rośnie). Fizycy również próbują usilnie obalić tę teorię, ale im więcej wymyślą warunków, w jakich teoria ta mogłaby zostać obalona, to po przeprowadzeniu eksperymentów okazuje się, że zyskano dowody, że w takich warunkach teoria ta też się sprawdza. cs:Albert Einstein da:Albert Einstein de:Albert Einstein el:Άλμπερτ Αϊνστάιν en:Albert Einstein es:Albert Einstein fi:Albert Einstein fr:Albert Einstein he:אלברט איינשטיין id:Albert Einstein it:Albert Einstein ja:アルベルト・アインシュタイン ko:알베르트 아인슈타인 nl:Albert Einstein no:Albert Einstein uk:Альберт Ейнштейн pt:Albert Einstein ru:Эйнштейн, Альберт Франк sv:Albert Einstein th:เอาระเบิด ไอจนตาย tr:Albert Einstein zh:艾尔伯特‧爱因斯坦 zh-tw:愛淫濕毯
Einstein always appeared to have a clear view of the problems of physics and the determination to solve them. He had a strategy of his own and was able to visualize the main stages on the way to his goal. He regarded his major achievements as mere stepping-stones for the next advance. At the start of his scientific work, Einstein realized the inadequacies of Newtonian mechanics and his special theory of relativity stemmed from an attempt to reconcile the laws of mechanics with the laws of the electromagnetic field. He dealt with classical problems of statistical mechanics and problems in which they were merged with quantum theory: this led to an explanation of the Brownian movement of molecules. He investigated the thermal properties of light with a low radiation density and his observations laid the foundation of the photon theory of light. In his early days in Berlin, Einstein postulated that the correct interpretation of the special theory of relativity must also furnish a theory of gravitation and in 1916 he published his paper on the general theory of relativity. During this time he also contributed to the problems of the theory of radiation and statistical mechanics. In the 1920's, Einstein embarked on the construction of unified field theories, although he continued to work on the probabilistic interpretation of quantum theory, and he persevered with this work in America. He contributed to statistical mechanics by his development of the quantum theory of a monatomic gas and he has also accomplished valuable work in connection with atomic transition probabilities and relativistic cosmology. After his retirement he continued to work towards the unification of the basic concepts of physics, taking the opposite approach, geometrisation, to the majority of physicists. Einstein's researches are, of course, well chronicled and his more important works include Special Theory of Relativity (1905), Relativity (English translations, 1920 and 1950), General Theory of Relativity (1916), Investigations on Theory of Brownian Movement (1926), and The Evolution of Physics (1938). Among his non-scientific works, About Zionism (1930), Why War? (1933), My Philosophy (1934), and Out of My Later Years (1950) are perhaps the most important.
  • Albert Einstein (14 March 1879, Ulm, Kingdom of Württemberg, German Empire - 18 April 1955, Princeton, New Jersey, United States) was a German-born theoretical physicist who developed the theory of general relativity. Albert Einstein was born in Ulm, in the Kingdom of Württemberg in the German Empire on 14 March 1879. On 30 April 1905, he completed his thesis. Einstein was awarded a PhD by the University of Zurich. In 1921, Einstein was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics. Because relativity was still considered somewhat controversial, it was officially bestowed for his explanation of the photoelectric effect. In 1933, Einstein decided to emigrate to the United States due to the rise to power of the Nazis under Germany's new chancellor, Adolf Hitler. He took up a position at the Institute for Advanced Study at Princeton, New Jersey. Einstein became an American citizen in 1940. He died in Princeton Hospital in the morning of 18 April 1955, at the age of 76. During the autopsy, the Princeton Hospital's pathologist, Thomas Stoltz Harvey, removed Einstein's brain for preservation without the permission of his family. Einstein's remains were cremated and his ashes were scattered at an undisclosed location.
  • Albert Einstein (1879-1955) was a theoretical physicist known to the world as one of the most important figures in 20th-century science. __TOC__ The Season 20 version of Sesame Street’s opening title sequence began with a shot of a statue of Einstein. Sculpted by Robert Berks in 1979 from a bust he created in 1953 of a live Einstein, the larger than life-size statue sits on the lawn of the National Academy of Sciences building in Washington, D.C. at Constitution Avenue & 22nd Street NW, just 400 yards north of the Lincoln Memorial. [1] Einstein reached such worldwide fame that he became a figure of celebrity, and thus the subject of many pop-culture references that exist to this day. A particular facet of his personality that was a favorite of satirists was his accent. As a result, caricatures of scientists in situation comedy roles are frequently equipped with a mock German accent. One such example is the Sesame Street character Professor Nucleus Von Fission. One of the most important contributions Einstein made to the world was his formula stating that energy equals mass times the square of the speed of light inside a perfect vacuum, or, E=mc². It was this discovery that would lead to a number of advances in science, and only helped to advance his popularity. The formula itself exists as a celebrity, having made appearances in countless cases that have called for simple scientific formulae. One such example can be found in the 1966 film The Idea Man, when Limbo speaks of ideas that have already been thought of, while Dr. Bunsen Honeydew was often fond of scribbling variations of the formula in his notes found in the pages of Muppet Magazine (one illustrated representation of his mind included the equation E=mice² next to a doodle of his mother). Other instances have included a representation of Dorothy's thoughts about school in a segment of Elmo's World, a visualized thought in a classic recurring Muppet sketch, a book titled with the equation in a Muppet comic strip, and a Muppet folder by Mead which parodies the equation as grEen=mc² (referencing both Kermit's skin color and an angle, as the folder was part of a "Save the Pond" themed binder). In the late 1990s, Apple Computer's "Think Different" campaign commissioned a one minute commercial showcasing some of the widely considered "geniuses" of our time, including Jim Henson and Kermit the Frog. Einstein's image opens the montage. Though Einstein himself died before the Muppets reached prominence, he was a known fan of television puppetry. On one occasion, the physicist interrupted a high-level conference by announcing, "You will have to excuse me, gentlemen. It's Time for Beany."

  • In the Pilot episode, when Jerry came across Rick and Morty, returning from their adventure, when Morty should have been at school, Jerry yelled at Rick in anger and addressing him as "Albert Ein-douche." This was a pun on Albert Einstein's name. Albert Einstein would not make his first physical appearance until the episode A Rickle in Time, in the post-credits epilogue. Here, the Fourth Dimensional Being, after previously being beaten unconscious by Rick, causing him to lose him and fail to arrest him for his crimes against space time, went through time with his partner, looking for him. They eventually came across Albert Einstein in his lab and proceeded to beat him senseless, telling him not to mess with time. After they left, Albert quickly got back up and angrily said to himself that from that point on, he will mess with time.

  • Albert Einstein (14 March 1879 – 18 April 1955) was a German-born theoretical physicist. He is best known for his theory of relativity and specifically mass–energy equivalence, expressed by the equation E = mc2. Einstein received the 1921 Nobel Prize in Physics "for his services to Theoretical Physics, and especially for his discovery of the law of the photoelectric effect." Einstein's many contributions to physics include his special theory of relativity, which reconciled mechanics with electromagnetism, and his general theory of relativity, which was intended to extend the principle of relativity to non-uniform motion and to provide a new theory of gravitation. His other contributions include advances in the fields of relativistic cosmology, capillary action, critical opalescence, classical problems of statistical mechanics and their application to quantum theory, an explanation of the Brownian movement of molecules, atomic transition probabilities, the quantum theory of a monatomic gas, thermal properties of light with low radiation density (which laid the foundation for the photon theory), a theory of radiation including stimulated emission, the conception of a unified field theory, and the geometrization of physics. Einstein published over 300 scientific works and over 150 non-scientific works. In 1999 Time magazine named him the "Person of the Century". In wider culture the name "Einstein" has become synonymous with genius.
  • Emmett Brown had a portrait of Einstein in his garage and even named his dog Einstein. On June 13, 1931, Marty called out to Einstein by name. Emmett Brown figured that Marty (who claimed to be from the patent office) gave him that name since Albert Einstein was also a patent clerk. On October 12 of that year, Marty, wanting to get a heartbroken Emmett Brown out of depression, claimed that he didn't have the guts to follow his dreams, and dismissed his aspirations as daydreams. Emmett responded by pointing out that Thomas Edison, Albert Einstein and Dr. Frankenstein all had daydreams, and went on to make great accomplishments. In 1991, Doc Brown and Einstein traveled to New York on March 16, 1953, to witness New York attorney general Nathaniel Goldstein present a model of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He introduced his dog Einstein to Albert Einstein himself. In 1993, Doc Brown hung a photograph of himself with Albert Einstein in his chicken restaurant.
  • Albert Einstein was a German-born theoretical physicist who discovered the theory of general relativity, effecting a revolution in physics. For this achievement, Einstein is often regarded as the father of modern physics. He received the 1921 Nobel Prize in Physics "for his services to theoretical physics, and especially for his discovery of the law of the photoelectric effect". Dr. Helen Magnus met him at least once, and a photograph of that meeting was made.

  • Professor Albert Einstein was a famous Human physicist of 20th century Earth. He was born in Germany and was best known for his equation E = mc² and his works on the Theory of General Relativity. His influential work in what would become quantum theory laid the cornerstone for critical scientific breakthroughs in the centuries to come, including transporters and warp spaceflight. In 2268, when discussing genius with Leonard McCoy, James T. Kirk said, "Genius doesn't work on an assembly line business. Did Einstein, Kazanga, or Sitar of Vulcan produce new and revolutionary theories on a regular basis?" (TOS: "The Ultimate Computer" ) In 2285, David Marcus believed that if Project Genesis had worked, his mother, Carol Marcus, would be remembered in the same breath as Isaac Newton, Albert Einstein, and Surak. (Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan) Reginald Barclay used a holographic Einstein in 2367 to discuss new ideas after an encounter with a Cytherian probe that dramatically raised his IQ. (TNG: "The Nth Degree" ) In 2369, Lieutenant Commander Data created holodeck version of Albert Einstein, Sir Isaac Newton and Stephen Hawking in order to watch how three of the greatest Human scientists would interact during a game of poker. Data's observations were "most illuminating". (TNG: "Descent" ) In 2374, Captain Kathryn Janeway referred to Einstein in her Captain's log when she was in search of the omega molecule, and was forced to impose the Omega Directive. In her log, she noted that, in spite of her apprehensiveness, she now knew how Albert Einstein must have felt when he had developed the atom bomb, watching helplessly as science had taken a destructive course. Janeway, however, also noted that, unlike both Einstein and Carol Marcus, she had at least a chance to prevent science from becoming subverted. (VOY: "The Omega Directive") The same year, Vic Fontaine claimed that it didn't take an Einstein to see that Miles O'Brien missed his wife or that Jadzia Dax and Worf were married. (DS9: "His Way") When a hologram of Crell Moset proposed a medical procedure endangering a cytoplasmic lifeform, which had attached itself to B'Elanna Torres, in 2375 The Doctor protested as this lifeform could be its species' Einstein or Picasso. (VOY: "Nothing Human") Einstein was played by actor Jim Norton in the episodes "The Nth Degree" and "Descent". According to the Star Trek Encyclopedia (4th ed., vol. 1, p. 231) , the birth and death years of Albert Einstein were 1879 and 1955, respectively. In addition, the authors stated that Einstein won a Nobel Prize and attempted to unify relativity with quantum mechanics.

  • Albert Einstein (* 14. März 1879 in Ulm; † 18.

  • Einstein was born in Germany, and lived most of his life in that nation. Einstein traveled to the United States of America in late 1932 to work as a guest lecturer. With the rise of Adolf Hitler's Nazi party, as Einstein was an Austrian member of the Jewish faith he decided not to return to Southern Germany, and spent the rest of his life living in the United States. Einstein was particuarly famous for the equation E = mc², and for his work on the Theory of General Relativity, and his work became the basis for development of technologies such as nuclear fission and fusion reactors, warp drive, and transporters. Einstein was believed to have failed mathematics when he was at school. (DS9 novel: The Siege) When Lieutenant Reginald Barclay's intelligence was drastically increased by the Cytherian probe, Barclay felt a need to explore some aspects of advanced physics. Using the holodeck, he used a recreation of Einstein to discuss his ideas. Losing all track of time, Barclay spent the entire night talking to Einstein. When La Forge saw this he realized that something had happened to Barclay in their encounter with the Cytherian probe. (TNG episode: "The Nth Degree") Several years later, Lieutenant Commander Data played poker with a holographic recreation of Albert Einstein, along with recreations of Sir Isaac Newton and Stephen Hawking to see how the three men would interact with each other in such a setting. In the final hand before the bridge ordered a red alert, Einstein was confident that Hawking was bluffing, but soon learned that Hawking had a stronger hand than he did. (TNG episode & novelization: Descent) One of the shuttlecraft attached to the USS Enterprise-D was named Albert Einstein in his honor (TNG comic: "The Flight of the Albert Einstein")

  • Albert was born in the 25th century. When he was a baby, he was taught all the science stuff they knew in the 25th century (because they knew how to teach babies), and then they sent in back in time to the 20th century. He grew up in the Einstein family and proved he was smarted than those primitives of the time. Albert Einstein is a smart guy who does smart things for dumb people. He was born in 1402, and raised in Evil Land. He was smart enough to run away (not many can do that), and he moved to the land where he helped create (and later ruled) Germany. He lived there until he was old. He is best friends with Bill Nye. He was also credited for creating the theory that 3 things in the world are infinite, human stupidity, the universe and the amount of Zubats in Dark Cave. He didn't create this one E=mc2 because he thought this would make him cooler but he was wrong. In the early 1950's, an unknown man attempted to murder him in the forest. In 1955, he had a child named Bill Gates, another very smart and rich guy. Eventually, Bill Gates had a child named Mark Zuckerberg. Since they were both in some way associated with Einstein, they were both incredibly smart, but not quite as smart as Einstein.

The aberration was eventually negated by the Legends after they approached the doctor, disguised as CIA, forcing him to inform the public and the US government of his spouse's name and her accomplishments, forcing the government to keep both Einsteins safe from the Germans.

(TV: The Stones of Blood) In the 1940s, the Rani kidnapped Einstein and brought him to Lakertya so that his genius could be used to help create her Time Brain. Afterwards, the Seventh Doctor boarded him on his TARDIS in order to bring him back to his right time; the curiosity of the scientist was aroused by the console room. (TV: Time and the Rani) The Eighth Doctor mentioned knowing Einstein. (PROSE: The Eye of the Tyger) The Eleventh Doctor once claimed to have attended a party at Frank Sinatra's hunting lodge with Einstein and Father Christmas. He produced a photograph of them as proof. (TV: A Christmas Carol) Other encounters between Einstein and the Doctor included Einstein trying to steal the Doctor's TARDIS and having his toothbrush taken by the Doctor and "exterminated" by the Daleks. Einstein also left his bicarbonated processing machine somewhere in the TARDIS. While working on a malfunctioning time machine of his own in 1945, Einstein was accidentally brought onboard the TARDIS in an accident involving the TARDIS console and the Doctor's new fez (which Einstein had been the original owner of) along with his fez and a flask of experimental liquid which he hoped was bionic fusion liquid. Einstein was momentarily transformed into an Ood by his liquid, before being changed back and returned home by the Doctor; the mishap had resulted in Einstein's hair standing on end, a look which the Doctor recommended he keep as "more sciencey". (As was later noted in "Please Please Please Get a Life Foundation," this is actually the energy-mass conversion formula, not the relativity formula). He is in the row of heads Yakko plays like a xylophone in the main title at the beginning of every episode.

  • Albert Einstein (1879-1955) was a theoretical physicist often regarded as the greatest scientist of the 20th century. He is likely most known for his theory of special relativity. Born in Austria, at the time part of Germany, he moved to the United States in 1932 to escape Nazism. Einstein was influential in the American decision to build an atomic bomb. After World War II, however, he spoke out against nuclear weapons. Einstein was used as a supporting character in the Wild Cards series of books, mentioned briefly in the prologue written by series creator, George R.R. Martin.

Einstein was born in Ulm, Germany, and studied in Switzerland before graduating from Zurich's Institute of Technology in 1900. He did not fit in at school because he asked many "difficult" questions, and could get no work until he found a job in the Patent Offic in Bern in 1902. Einstein married his first wife Mileva, a mathematician and scientist in 1903. They had a daughter and two sons. Mileva worked closely with her husband and helped with his research. They were divorced in 1919.
Einstein's contribution was to give a description of the Lorentz-Poincare theory without reference to the luminiferous aether, and to clarify some of the physical consequences of the theory. He used the term "stationary system" instead of the term aether. Einstein then wrote a series of papers applying relativity to gravity using the mathematics of Riemannian Geometry, contributing to General Relativity. Much of the actual mathematics of general relativity was worked out by Marcel Grossman, David Hilbert, and others. Einstein's main contribution was to give an alternate derivation of the field equations, and to apply them to explain an anomaly in the advance of the perihelion in Mercury's orbit. Arthur Eddington popularized General Relativity by publishing an explanation of it and by attempting to prove the theory experimentally in a dramatic test. Eddington embarked on a highly publicized trip into the Atlantic Ocean off Africa in order to observe the bending of starlight passing nearby the Sun during the total solar eclipse of May 29, 1919. Eddington returned with a declaration that he had proven Einstein's theory of General Relativity, making Einstein extremely famous, when in fact he had selectively used data to attain this result. No Nobel Prize was given for relativity. In April 2004, NASA launched the satellite Gravity Probe B to test general relativity. The main purpose was to test relativistic frame dragging, but the results have been inconclusive. Einstein compared the effects of large objects on space and time to the way that a large ball placed on a sheet of rubber stretches the material and causes it to sag, and drew the analogy with the way stars and planets warp space-time. A smaller ball rolling along the sagging fabric will be drawn towards the larger ball, in the same way that the Earth is drawn towards the sun, but will not fall into it as long as it continues to move at sufficient speed. This was a change in thinking from the Newtonian cosmos, in which gravity was viewed purely as an attractive force between bodies. Einstein's statistical explanation of Brownian motion (the random movement of microscopic particles mixed in with pollen) is sometimes credited with helping to confirm the atomic theory at a time when some scientists argued against it. Most scientists had accepted atomic theory a century earlier. Einstein also published a heuristic explanation of the photoelectric effect in which light has particle like properties as well as wave like properties. According to Maxwell's equations, light is a wave so one might expect that increasing the intensity of light should increase the number of electrons emitted from metal. The German physicist Lénard did an experiment proving that this was not true. Einstein argued that the experiment was consistent with Max Planck's hypothesis that light is quantized and different particles of light or photons have different frequencies. Therefore, increasing the intensity of low frequency photons has no effect, while using a higher (blue or ultra violet) frequency of light does cause more electrons to be emitted. The formula Einstein used to explain this was Planck's formula e = hf, where h is Planck's constant and f is the frequency.[1] Although Einstein won a Nobel Prize for explaining the photoelectric effect, Lénard was critical of his accomplishments. Planck and Lénard had already received Nobel Prizes for related work explaining the photoelectric effect. Einstein also recognized the value in work done by the physicist Bose when others did not, and helped Bose publish what is now referred to as Bose-Einstein statistics. A simplified explanation is that the statistics for bosons (including light) are different from the statistics for fermions which make up solid matter in that there is no way to tag or differentiate one boson from another for statistical comparisons.

  • Albert Einstein is a Tenctonese Binnaum, a Catalysator required for Tenctonese Procreation. Before arriving on Earth he was a Member of the Order of Binnaum and now works as Janitor at the Police Department. He Catalysed Susan Francisco twice, which resulted in the birth of Emily and Vessna Francisco. Therefore he's a close f riend of the Francisco Family. Albert's Tenctonese name is Glensa and he is married to May O'Naise (Okiana). As he is a Binnaum he is unable to father his own child and so George on his request was to be the Gannaum for him and May. Usually Binnaum monks never marry as they are required to service several hundred Tenctonese females per year.
