| abstract | - Nathan River is a CIA agent appearing in Game Of Shadows. He is 21 year olds at the beginning of Proxy Wars and 25-26 at the end of the overall main story of Game Of Shadows. He's described as an attractive young man with brown hair, brown eyes and being of average height. He appears to be resentful towards his family as he blames them for not standing up to their female friend, who in Nathans childhood repeatedly sexually abused and raped him. He sarcastically tells other people that he should be lucky for those experiences, as he heard that his entire life. He joined the marines at the age of 17, where Michael saw his skills in shooting and unarmed combat. He offered him training sessions with other candidates for the new DAMOCLES units. He joined training and later became one of the best students there. After being officially and agent for the CIA, he participated in the assassinations of terrorists worldwide. At the age of 21 he was tasked to visit Venezuela after Sebastian staged a coup there, using the new government to sponsor himself with money Venezuela gets by selling oil extra cheap to the US and other countries. He was then tasked with infiltrating an oil facility where he would find out the names of the ones selling oil also on the black market. Having found out who sold oil on the black market, he followed them to a meeting which he then secretly recorded. Soon after transmitting the audio, he and a female CIA agent called Michelle again followed the accomplices of Mr. X. After learning that Mr. X used the money of the cheap oil sales to buy over tribe leaders in Afghanistan to get in control of their minerals, Michael manipulated by John send them to Afghanistan in order to get the tribe leaders identities. However their cover was blown up when a mole in the CIA sold them over to the warlords. After several weeks, Michelle was released while Nathan was left to as he called it; rot in a small dark prison cell that stinker like piss. After half a year, John traveled to Afghanistan himself and freed Nathan who was tortured, beaten and several times almost killed during the six months he spend in the prison cell. After learning that Michelle was released way earlier, Nathan fell into a blind rage cursing the CIA, Michelle and everyone who left him in Afghanistan. He soon lost his last warm feelings for humanity and turned into a cruel nihilist. More coming soon...
