  • The Azanlak-class cargo transport was a model of Bregaran cargo transporter which was based on the Patel Ironworks Heavy Lifter. The class came out in 1,033 ABY at the same as its smaller cousin, the Uzzgerazanlak-class utility cargo transport but both classes were not so successful when released since freight companies and the navy were more interested in large freighters like the Delivery-class freighter and so Bregaran Imperial Shipyards were ready to pull both classes as flops, but the chairman kept the line going, taking a risky gamble on the price tag of the classes would get someone to buy one at some point and then spread the word.

abstract
The gamble paid off, after a while several freight companies found buying larger freighters and keeping them running quite expensive, so looked for cheaper options they found the price tags of the two classes appealing and so bought some to try out, they found they were very reliable ships so bought more of them. BIS started getting huge production orders as freight companies across the empire started to want the two classes and BIS was making lots of money on them. BIS' good fortune continued as the Imperial Navy and the Imperial Merchant Navy placed huge orders for a cargo loading and utility transport ship, one which could also tow disabled starfighters and escape pods. They found the Azanlak and Uzzgerazanlak to be perfect so placed orders for both of them as well as a licence for their own navy shipyards Ingzan-Bregaran Imperial Shipyards (IBIS) to build them. As with many navy ships the rebel Allied Armies Against Ingzan-Bregaran Imperialism also used the Azanlak, they refitted some of them as corvette, giving them laser cannons and missile launchers. Incredible! My gamble has paid off in a big way! Company profits from the Azanlak and Uzzgerazanlak have increased by 200%!—The chairman of Bregaran Imperial Shipyards on the success of the Azanlak and Uzzgerazanlak
