  • Rhys is a character in Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance for the GameCube. He's the only priest (and later a possible bishop) in the game, and is also the only character who can use light magic. He also appears in the sequel, Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. He is very sickly and has very low strength and stamina as shown in the support conversations.
  • Rhys was a male Human who served as a sergeant in the army of the Galactic Republic during the Galactic War against the Sith Empire. During the war he worked as a light armor merchant on the planet Corellia where he ran a stall within the Republic controlled Shipwright Auxiliary Spaceport. Rhys had red hair, green eyes and fair skin. While at his stall he wore a white, blue and brown uniform including a helmet.

  • Rhys (Japanese: ケイン・サ・リーク), known as Kein Sa Riik in the Japanese version, is one of several lead protagonists of the third game of the original series, Phantasy Star III: Generations of Doom. He, along with his children in future generations, manages to thwart Dark Force's schemes to destroy their homeworld aboard the Alisa III.
  • Rhys is the leader of the Eco Warriors living in the Mourningwood camp in Fable III. He appears during the quest Peace, Love, and Homicide, during which Lesley will ask the Hero to demonstrate his/her propensity for evil by murdering Rhys, who can be found in the camp dancing and singing about peace and love.
  • Rhys is a man of unfulfilled dreams. On several occasions, he has spoken with people about his colorful dreams, the things he always wished he could do. These things were stemmed from being so incapable of doing much during the long years he spent sick in his parents' care. In a Support Conversation with Mia in Path of Radiance, Rhys revealed that he had always wanted to be a swordfighter, but was never strong enough. Mia vowed to help him become a swordfighter, strongly believing him to be her ultimate rival because of a fortune reading, but, unfortunately, after a few training sessions, Rhys grew horrendously sick from strain on his body and the two were forced to give up on the plan.
  • Rhys is a faintly annoying member of Issuing Orders' support staff. He joined in mid-2008 alongside a few RL friends but, somewhat like natural selection, they all eventually died out/buggered off, thus proving that there was only space for one Welshie on IO. We don't really like to talk about one of the aforementioned "bugger-offers". He leaves a sour taste in our collective mouths). Rhys is considered a veteran of IO.
  • Just Rhys, an outlaw Rhys is one of the middle boys, rescued when he was 6 years old. He is the outsider of the group with a tendency to brood on things. He is also the one most worried about fairness - which accounts for his nickname, rather than it meaning 'only'. However, despite all this he is fiercly loyal to his 'brothers and sisters' and his 'father'. Always a quiet boy anyway, the trauma of losing his parents, not to mention almost everyone else he knew has made very shy, to say the least. Often enough people might overlook this quiet boy who blends into the background, and that's the way he likes it. Not as keen as some of the others on outright and unjust outlawery, he instead prefers what Gruffydd has to teach him about the wild places.
  • Duskull - Rhys's first Pokemon. Their meeting was very unconventional, but their companionship is still a thing of beauty. When Rhys found Duskull, he found a certain communication between them that he had never experienced before, and because of this, he decided that he would become a trainer, and a Ghostchaser. With his new-found communication skills with ghosts, he is able to find out what is troubling the ghosts that haunt certain places. With the help of Duskull, he intends to do that on a much wider scale around the region. First Appearance: Spirit of Mystery

Background
  • Rhys is an ambitious man, and dreams of becoming the next Handsome Jack, trying his best to fill in his shoes. He gets along with two co-workers, Vaughn and Yvette, but maintains a rivalry with Vasquez. Rhys' most notable features are his ECHO eye implant, which allows him to scan objects and reveal information about them, all of which are from the Hyperion database; and his mechanical right arm, which has a built-in interface. Rhys got his cyber ware to help him get ahead in the data-mining department. It was paid for by his quarterly bonus, which he received for arranging a lucrative Eridium mining deal.

Involvement
  • While heading to his boss' office to earn his promotion, Rhys finds out that Vasquez has taken over, and he gets demoted to "assistant vice janitor". Having overheard Vasquez talking about purchasing a Vault Key, he then heads to Pandora with Vaughn to make the purchase first using Hyperion's funds. It isn't long before he and Vaughn accidentally stir up trouble with the local bandits led by Rudiger and after requesting a Loader Bot to defuse the situation, the two of them enter the World of Curiosities, an antique shop owned by Shade. There they find the body of Nakayama and take his ID chip before meeting up with the dealer, August, and his girlfriend Sasha. Unbeknownst to Rhys, Vaughn and August, the key was a forgery made by Fiona, Sasha and their adoptive mentor Felix. As soon as they discover this, the deal is crashed by Bossanova and Zer0. Bossanova escapes with the money, while Rhys and Vaughn take shelter within Felix's van and makes an alliance with him, Fiona and Sasha, leaving behind a vengeful August. Rhys attempts to track the money using an ID drive he retrieved from Professor Nakayama's corpse in the antique shop, but then collapses and blacks out. The group later finds Bossanova's base, an abandoned Atlas warehouse, and proceeds to infiltrate it. While Felix stays behind for getaway, Rhys and Sasha are separated from Vaughn and Fiona, who get recruited into a bandit death race. The two of them find a lift leading to the arena, but while trying to get it moving, Rhys' system begins to malfunction. A mysterious voice taunts him as he tries to get things working. Eventually, they manage to get away from the skags, with the help of Zer0. The three of them arrive at the center of the arena, where Bossanova is hosting the death race. Rhys struggles to stay alive, but the briefcase is tossed around the racing arena, where Fiona and Vaughn are participating. Felix eventually recovers the case, but then announces his betrayal to Fiona. He attempts to open the case, not knowing there is a bomb linked to Vaughn's bio signature inside. The bomb explodes, destroying all the money inside and depending on player choice, either killing Felix or causing him to flee. As the group tries to figure out what to do next, Loader bot returns and causes Rhys to accidentally find an underground room containing Atlas prototype tech, including a strange item displaying a map of a Vault. At this point, the voice inside Rhys' head gets clearer, and as he turns around, he finds a hologram of Handsome Jack greeting him.

abstract
Another Support conversation in Path of Radiance depicts Rhys speaking with Ulki, a Hawk Laguz, about a dream of his. Rhys is fascinated by the bird Laguz because he had always wished he could fly with the birds outside his window, but Ulki admits that flying is only natural to him and not particularly thrilling. Ulki allows Rhys to ride on his back in order for him to experience it, much to Rhys' delight. Overall, Rhys is a very gentle and caring person who was mostly sheltered from the outside world, leaving him a great deal of naivete. He often prays for the well-being of his friends and helps reassure them when the going gets tough. He sends most of his income home to his elderly parents and is revealed to be an only child.
