  • Meteor Smash, called Graviton Hammer (グラビトンハンマー Gurabiton Hammā) in Japan, is an unblockable move introduced in Tekken 3 for Bryan Fury's moveset. There is a weaker but faster version of this move called Gravity Blow. Meteor Smash, like other unblockable moves, is not for high level play. A simple side step, jab, or even a backdash (because the move has short range) is all that is needed to avoid it. Meteor Smash is known as "Graviton Hammer" in Japanese; it is unknown why Meteor Smash's name was differentiated from that of Gravity Blow.
  • According to the How to play tutorial, meteor smashes are present in Super Smash Flash. This, however, is something really difficult to perform as the physics are very different to the official Super Smash Bros. games and some are not a certainty. More often than not, the player initiating the move would risk dying themselves. However, with good timing, some of the down aerials, such as Lloyd's Rising Falcon or Fox's Fire Fox, were guaranteed to KO most opponents at very low percentages.
  • Meteor Smash is a rare shotgun rumored to have the power of a falling meteor. Its special attack absorbs TP from the enemy. This article is incomplete. You can help the Phantasy Star Wiki by expanding it.

  • "Meteor Smash" —Super-Skrull Meteor Smash is one of Super-Skrull's special moves. Super-Skrull teleports into the air, and comes crashing down from above, dealing damage to close enough opponents. This attack is generally cancelled into Inferno.
  • Some meteor smashes are not meant for edge-guarding and are done only to knock opponents into other hits of the attack. Other meteor smashes can damage only opponents that are on the ground, making them impossible to send targets downwards. These are known as unconventional meteor smashes.

  • Some meteor smashes are not meant for edge-guarding and are done only to knock opponents into other hits of the attack. Other meteor smashes can damage only opponents that are on the ground, making them impossible to send targets downwards. These are known as unconventional meteor smashes. In Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS/Wii U, characters that are meteor smashed onto a floor will bounce back up. While this allows certain Final Smashes to incorporate downwards finishers and still result in KOs when used onstage, it also allows players to tech even if they were standing on the ground (Ganondorf's down air is an exception to this). In addition, stronger meteor smashes are now denoted by a unique sound effect upon connection.
