Bioengineering on the part of the warlords of Yavia resulted in a massive increase in the amount of metal plating on the average Venator. Venators were most commonly 10 to 15 meters long, wide and tall, and due to their heavy armor, weighing up to 60 tonnes. Some massive specimens were up to 25 meters and weighed up to 100 tonnes. They had large eyes and could see in almost complete darkness. In the wild, Venators used their massive clawed arms to take down prey. The arms could retract quickly, and many warlords equipped their Venator's arms with heavy armor/weapons. Naturally, Venators had no real legs, instead, they used a bizarre system of "wheel jointed" bones and muscles to move their muscular chitin-armoured undercarriage, similar to the treads of a tank. The armoured Venators used by the warlords had actual tank treads fixed to their base, allowing for faster movement. Some tribes even had mechanical walker legs affixed to them, and still other, more advanced tribes equipped them with imported repulsorlifts. Rare mutant Venators had naturally occurring acid-filled projectiles affixed to their arms. Some advanced warlords were able to isolate this gene and create Venators with self-replenishing rocket launchers.
