  • Born to Morgan and Nathaniel McCallad. As one of two fraternal twins, Aksel and his sister's birth took place in New Quark, Peldridge, On the planet Epsilon Eridani IV in 2511. Aksel was a healthy child, growing quickly and strongly, he soon found himself at a higher physical advantage to his peers. Despite this, Aksel seemed to have no inclination towards increased aggression nor did he seem interested in utilizing his strengths in order to gain an upper hand, being content to merely sit about and play with plants and insects. Because of this notable decrease in the desire to "do", Aksel was nearly disqualified from the SPARTAN Program in favor of his sister who seemed to be his polar opposite. However, for reasons unknown, this ended up not being the case and Aksel was green-lit to participate in the program. On September, 21st 2517, Aksel-113, like all the other Spartans, would be abducted from his family home and recruited into the SPARTAN-II project. He would then replaced by a flash-clone who would die a scant 3 weeks later. His parents would end up getting a divorce, with his father joining the UNSC only to be gunned down by an insurrectionist, his mother becoming a Stim-addict, and his sister killed in a gang related crime at the age of 12. Oblivious to this all, Aksel continued to grow and thrive both mentally and physically within the Spartan-II ranks.
