Johnson is a seven-time Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series champion, tying him for the most all-time championships with Richard Petty and Dale Earnhardt. In 2010 he became the first and only driver to win five consecutive NASCAR Cup Series Championships. He was named Male Athlete of the Year in 2009 by the Associated Press and has won the ESPY Best Driver Award four times.
