Er verlässt daraufhin das Haus und lässt seine Tochter und Frau unwissend mit Zep alleine, der die beiden knäbelt und als Geiseln nimmt. Lawrence ahnt davon nichts und trifft sich mit Carla in einem Hotelzimmer. Er scheint die Affäre beenden zu wollen, als das Telefon klingelt. Jemand sagt, dass er wüsste, was die beiden treiben. Lawrence verlässt das Hotelzimmer und wird im Parkhaus fotografiert. Er steigt in sein Wagen und fährt zu einer Telefonzelle im Parkhaus. Er will irgendwo anrufen, doch das Telefon lässt keine Auswärtsgespräche zu. Er bemerkt nicht, dass ein maskierter Mann aus seinem Auto kriecht und ihn von hinten anfällt... Auch er wacht nichts ahnend in einem kalten Bad mit 2 weiteren Personen auf. Die eine Person ist Adam Faulkner, von dem er erst später erfährt, dass er im Auftrag seiner Frau ihm hinterher spioniert ist. Und einer Leiche. Zuerst sind beide Männer skeptisch und vertrauen sich nicht, jedoch versuchen sie nach einer Zeit dennoch diesen Alptraum als Team zu meistern und befolgen die Anweisungen auf den Kassetten. Nachdem Gordon einen Anruf seiner Frau bekam und Schüsse hörte, sägt er sich den Fuß ab und verspricht Adam wieder zu kommen und ihn da raus zu holen. * Lawrence Gordon wurde in mehreren Teilen noch einmal erwähnt, tritt jedoch nie in Gestalt noch einmal in Erscheinung. In Saw II wird seine Praxis in einer Rückblende gezeigt. In Saw III erwähnt Lynn seinen Namen und John bezeichnet sich selbst als Dr. Gordons Patient, aber ebenso wie John Gordons Patient war, war Dr. Gordon Johns Patient. In einer Rückblende in Saw III sieht man Lawrence Gordon auf dem Boden liegen, allerdings sieht man nicht sein Gesicht, was darauf schließen lässt, dass es sich um ein Double handelt. In Saw V wird erwähnt, dass Hoffman es war, der Lawrence entführt hat. * Zusätzlich war sein abgeschnittener Fuß nochmals in Saw II und Saw III, der noch immer an dem Rohr angekettet war, zu sehen. Zwischen Teil 1 und 7 wird er immer wieder nur erwähnt oder man sieht seine Überreste wie der angekettete Fuß. In Teil 7 kommt dieser leicht vergessene und unscheinbare Charakter jedoch nochmal vor und es wird einem bewusst, dass er von John in sein Lebenswerk ebenso wie Amanda eingeweiht wurde.
