The barrel is mounted below the axis pin, the cylinder pivots out to the right, and it features a manual safety catch. The pre-cocked hammer can be set on manual safety. This enables to carry the revolver with a cocked hammer. The provided safety eliminates accidental discharge with the cylinder open or not fully closed, with the revolver dropped or struck. Due to barrel location beneath the cylinder, the shooter’s hand is steady at the moment of firing providing the best accuracy and deliverable rate of fire. The OTs-38 also features an optional integral laser sight that is powered by 3 D-0.03D batteries.
